At least that ended the weekend on an entertaining note though it certainly wasn't the most drama filled game in the world. One thing I got to say is, i'm glad the officials were consistent. They allowed the guys to do a lot of hand fighting for positioning and didn't tighten up on those calls later in the game.

It was a good season. They fought all season but just weren’t able to pull it out.

All 4 Home teams with Byes end up advancing to Conference Championship Weekend.

Really seemed like Payton and Brees came out really over-aggressive and just forced Shot plays into an amped up Eagles Defense playing right into their hands; which let the Eagles jump out to a 14 point lead.. instead of just running their patient quick game Offense; which they later switched to and ended up cranking out long scoring drives. Odd though they decide to go conservative on their last drive on 3rd & 8 and it almost cost them.

As for the Eagles hate to see their season end on that kind of concentration lapse from one of their most reliable receivers; but really credit to them I don't think anyone expected them to get as far as they did after the injuries they suffered... Where does Foles play next season?

Thanks for a great season Eagles...we needed more...more discipline, more offense, more special teams.

No way we should not have been ready for the fake 4th and 1 punt when Payton is know for that (SB onside kick).

And Brandon Graham should have just fallen on the strip sack instead of trying to pick it up and run...Saints recovered, Nick Foles got the ball on the Eagles 30 instead of the Saints 30...then the pic and we never recovered from that sequence.

11 minute Saints drive in the 3rd quarter was devastating too. But my play of the game was Graham not just falling on the Brees fumble. We would have recovered the ball in fg position and went up at least 17-0.

Hopefully this takes the weight off the shoulders of Marcus Williams, though. After last year's missed tackle on Diggs and completely losing sight of the play on the first touchdown in this game, you'd think he would have been pegged for murder on Bourbon Street tonight.

EDIT: Nevermind, just found out that was P.J. Williams tonight. Well... somebody would have missed that connection and mistakenly done it anyway.

I feel like if Jeffery doesn't drop that pass, Eagles get a TD.

Not sure if they could stop the Saints from getting into FG position but they would've had to lead with <1 minute to go.

Boy, Alson bailed out Payton. I'm not sure why Payton went uber-conservative on 3rd down. Eagles weren't stopping a nose bleed in that secondary after the 1st quarter. This was the most lopsided one possession game since the Cowboys-Rams on Saturday, lol.

Probably, but if they left any time whatsoever I could see Brees bringing the Saints down for a Will Lutz GW FG attempt.

I had a feeling Lutz was going to miss one. They flashed the graphic of consecutive kicks made, that’s a death sentence. He’s got another game to be a goat. Lol
