Re: AFC Divisional Round Games Thread

These are tough picks. I wanted to see LA or BAL draw NE in the playoffs, and here we are. I thought BAL had a better shot, and I’ll stick with that. I think the Pats win a low scoring typical postseason New England game, especially if there’s snow. I hope there’s snow. We didn’t get many this year!

    29-17 NE

I think Colts upset the Chiefs in Arrowhead. I don’t think HFA means jack in a lot of places, and though KC should be a place where there is one, I’ve seen them and Andy Reid fail time and time again. I also am waiting for Mahomes magic to run out a bit, for those fancy throws to bite him. Both these offenses can seemingly score at will though, it depends who gets the ball last. Wouldn’t want to be standing on the sidelines.

    39-33 IND
    NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
    NFL - Buffalo Bills
    MLB - Cincinnati Reds

I see the Colts winning due to actually having a solid defense in addition to an explosive offense, love what Eberflus has going on there.

Also see the Chargers taking down the Pats.

I won't be surprised if the Chargers win, but I think the back to back cross country trips and New England winter give a slight edge to the Pats who find a way to manufacture a close win. Brady goes on to his 13th AFC Championship game.

Awful. Hopefully being around the team and events of game day can provide a much needed short-term distraction.

I'm going for the upsets on the AFC side with both the Colts and Chargers eking out victories in tight games.

Fingers crossed , I'm hoping the defense shows up. If they play like they did against the Raiders it should be an easy win. Looking at the forecast there may be some rain or possibly snow at game time.

                  Patriots 27 Chargers 13
There is no way the Patriots are going to lose this game unless Brady gets knocked out of the game early.

I want a Patriots - Chiefs championship game at Arrowhead. I've wanted it since Brady started as the Pats QB. Make it so.

I would love to see Rivers go into Foxboro and knock the Pats out.

If Rivers doesn't do this year, he'll never do it. Running out of time for him. Not sure how open their window is either.

They have a ton of talent on the roster and most under the age of 30. (Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Melvin Gordon, Bosa, Derwin James, Ingram)

It's really just Rivers who is the grey-beard of the bunch but you figure at 37 he probably has maybe 3 years left in him. Considering Brady and Brees are going to play into their 40s.

I could see Rivers hanging it up this year if they were to win.

That's not to say he doesn't have more years in him, I just think with the move to LA, and him saying he's staying in SD (unless that has changed), it wouldn't shock me if he's really trying to ride off into the sunset with a Super Bowl this year.

I don't think they'll win in NE though even though they are the better team this year.

I started watching this game and already something jumped out at me...Chiefs kicker kicking off the game: 93 kickoffs, 6 touchbacks. Incredible that TB % was that low...they've really boosted it with all the rule changes.

Yeah, you realize a lot things have changed. One big thing that stands out for me. Is the helmet to helmet hits. And the amount of head injures that are happening.

Impact of the weather in the New England game is grossly overrated. It's going to be high 20's or low 30's and no snow and low winds at 5-10 mph. . Not really that big of a deal.

If the Pats win it's because the outplayed the Chargers. The weather means next to zero.

This will be my first trip to Gillette, really looking forward to it.
