So in the offseason when the "is it time to move on from Ben" debate starts again Steeler fans can say "Ben still threw for X yards, he's better than any of their other options"

Steelers playoff chances took a bit of a hit today



So in the offseason when the "is it time to move on from Ben" debate starts again Steeler fans can say "Ben still threw for X yards, he's better than any of their other options"

tbh I'd be more worried if the Steelers will win another game this year before even thinking about playoffs.

the extra wild card spot does give false hope. right now the niners at 5-5 would get it it's going to invite 8-9 teams (hard to get used to that and not say 8-8 I hate the odd mathes LOL)

Certainly possible, at a glance this could have happened 6-7 times to the 20 teams that were in the 7th seed over the last decade - that's if all of them lost and/or seeds 8+ lost also in some cases. So likely much less often than the 25-30% that implies.

A 7-10 team hosting a playoff game is an uglier prospect IMO.

Rams did a poor job managing the clock on first and goal, snapping the ball with about 30 seconds on the play clock and the clock running. Let’s see is Rodgers makes them pay

For an era that is supposedly built for the pass game to thrive, we sure do see a lot of gunshy/game-manager QB play. Guys with 60-80% passing, but relying on RBs to actually finish the job. I wonder if that's more on scared coaches.
