Bowser showed off his value here. Leads the team in sacks, but was the guy in coverage on the last two passes of the game. Few weeks ago in the off topic thread I talk about the Ravens hustle of developing edge guys and letting them walk in FA and getting comp picks out of it. Bowser will be the next guy.

Not a popular stance, but people need to let up on Baker imo. True enough he may not live up to his draft hype, or ever look as good as he did in his rookie year, but its clear his injuries are affecting him more than he lets on. I really think that heel is affecting his passing. We see him limping all the time, and I think it is affecting his ability to drive off his leg on passes. It looks to me like he has having to "rev up" his passes more than normal. He's got a bit longer of a windup than he used to, and its affecting his accuracy and release time. Makes the windows shorter. Commentators love saying the WRs aren't beating man coverage, but sometimes when a pass comes in a split second later thats enough to let a defender break up the pass. Much harder to throw a guy open if you have to have a long windup on your pass.

Also I do want to gush on Lamar a bit. That post game interview, he wasn't lying about watching film. He really wants to perfect his craft as a QB. I can say a lot about this, but it goes back to the pre-draft comments about him not being a QB. Sidenote, this game vs the Dolphins is a good contrast. This game, and virtually every game since he has been in the league, when the camera cuts to him on the sideline after a mistake, he's already next to a coach going over the tape of the play. Except the Dolphins game. That game he was frustrated and pacing the sidelines instead of reviewing tape. Probably only time I've seen him lose composure and be really flustered. Just an interesting tidbit.
