I deliberately go into the draft not knowing crap about projected picks. And since I don't really follow CFB, couldn't tell you much about any of the players either.

Back when Dez Bryant was drafted, I really wanted Baltimore to get him. Literally the pick before us Dallas moved up via trade and selected him. We traded down as a result. Then the next year I really really want the Ravens to draft Jimmy Smith. They did, but pre-draft scouting carried through into the season. I had dude under a microscope lol. I decided to avoid looking at mock drafts and scouting reports after that lol.
I don't mind draft combine info, it's not a major interest, kinda fun to see the stats, but the mocks do nothing for me

I'm like that more with NBA draft, where I go in 95% dark on everything heading into the draft. With NFL, I use to be heavy on mock drafts and follow the CFB season. I stopped following CFB for the most part about 8-9 years ago. I only look at mock drafts a couple times just to get a feel of how the first couple picks could go and have an idea what a player profile is. All it takes is one surprise pick or trade to knock out 100% of mock drafts anyway

        BUT WHERE?

Carolina? Indy? Who wants a top 5 QB?
        NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
        NFL - Buffalo Bills
        MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Carolina seems like the likely team. His no-trade clause where dictate where he goes. So, it doesn't matter who has the best assets in a trade.

Come on, Kwesi. Make a straight up Watson for Cousins happen.

I can understand why some teams would be out on him. But, he is the best available QB that will actually be available the next couple years and he's under contract for 4 years. And he's young enough where you're not at all worried about regression as you would be with Wilson.

I would do that it if I'm Philly. But, I don't think Watson would be interested in Philly

Oh I'll watch the combine. Didn't this year but usually I do. I just don't pay attention to any of the analysis by the "experts."

Its mostly that I just avoid going into the draft hoping for certain outcomes or having preconceptions about players and picks.

I want nothing but scrubs in the NFC for the next few years, with the exception of us.

Sounds like Tepper is going to do whatever it takes to get Watson.

If he's willing to waive his no trade for Carolina, he will be there next year.

Who is left to play with him remains to be seen

I kind of think the no trade clause won’t be a huge factor. He has to either waive it or play for the Texans. If he doesn’t waive it they’re not going to just inactivate him for every game again this year so he’ll have to either play or lose out on his huge salary
