Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Flores’ payment-for-tanking claim received some high-profile public backing. Former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said on Twitter earlier this week that Cleveland owner Jimmy Haslam was “happy while we kept losing” and hinted he was paid “a good number” in connection to those losses. Jackson later clarified his remarks on ESPN, saying he was not explicitly offered money. A spokesperson for the Browns tells Sportico the allegations are “completely fabricated,” and that no member of their organization was “incentivized to deliberately lose games.”As the NFL investigates Brian Flores' allegations that Stephen Ross tried to bribe him to lose, NFL can work to keep materials confidential.

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Saints want to talk to Bieniemy to set up interview.
Saints isn't a bad job, just isn't the best situation. You have talent on each side, but are in cap hell and no QB.
Maybe that's a team where if they could find a good bridge QB, that division is wide open.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
It does seem like they just thought Trevor Lawrence would be enough for candidates to overlook Baalke and/or trying to hire Speilman to be a buffer between Khan and Baalke. What's the point of hiring an equivalent of a president of basketball operations in NFL, especially in this situation. Though Jets aren't in the better situation, but I remember the stories about Lawrence possibly staying in college if Jets had a chance at him. At this point, Jets seems like the better situation for Lawrence with all the disfunctionComment

Not an exciting hire, but they could do worse than Pederson. Really wanted them to can Baalke and hire LeftwichComment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
As an Eagles fan, I felt Pederson got a bad rap for the last. He was micromanaged and didn't have the control to do what he wanted. Wonder if he continues with the heavy analytics. One downside was player development under Pederson. Outside of OL and TE, players didn't develop under Pederson .
Texans seems down to Gannon and McCown. At this point, I'd rather see Gannon because even if it isn't an attractive job, it'd be disrespectful to all candidates for McCown to get the job. And if you ask Eagles Twitter, they are all for Gannon getting the job lol.
Dolphins seem like McDaniel is the likely guy. They want an offensive guy who will work with Tua and retain the defensive staff. The finalists were Daboll and O'Connell, so it seems like McConnell is the guy
Saints seems like Dennis Allen is the likely guy. I wouldn't blame them for trying to maintain the culture that's already there. But, they seem like the only remaining job that it is wide open
But it does seem like we won't see any African American coaches hired this cycle. Saints is the one job where its a legitimate chance if it isn't Allen. But after an unexpected 9 HC opening cycle, if there isn't an African American coach hired, it is disappointingComment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
I wanted Peterson or Leftwich. Now hopefully the snake Baalke gets his head chopped off and is finally done.

"Seattle Seahawks expected to name assistant head coach Clint Hurtt as new defensive coordinator, sources confirm to @BradyHenderson and me (Seattle Times 1st). With Ed Donatell in assistant role (not DC), that set the stage for Hurtt promotion."Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
"Anthony Lynn is being hired as the Assistant Head Coach of the San Francisco 49ers, per league sources. Lynn - who had other NFL and college offers - is expected to now be a key cog in the 49ers’ offense and run game'
I can definitely see this pointing to Mike McDaniel heading to Dolphins as the HCComment
