Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
He did something similar in Arizona - his veteran QB retired and he walked away the same offseason. Tampa pushed all their chips in for the Super Bowl and they have a hard rebuild ahead. The roster is going to be very top heavy. It's the perfect time for him to retire and go out on top.
I feel like he’ll give it another year because depending on what they do in FA and the Draft, they could be right back in the playoffs again next year, especially considering what division they play in. There’s a reason why we don’t see years long projects in the NFL like we do in the NBA.#RespectTheCultureComment

"Jaguars wanted to interview Rams' OC Kevin O'Connell but cannot at this time because they didn't request an interview in the initial interview period, per source."
Seems like Khan is locked in on keeping Baalke despite fanbase and certain candidates not wanting to tied to him.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Jaguars are also interviewing Rich Bisaccia. I know the goal isn’t to make the quickest hire but they seem to have no clue what they’re doing. They had a one month head start on their coaching search and they’re still picking guys for first interviewsComment

He is a former player and still connected to the team and players.
All leaks have stopped but it is crazy if this rumor is true.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
That might be his best bet is to go else where to be OC where he has complete control of offseason.
Doug Pederson had the same issue with not being able to put together a staff. He inherited Chip Kelly's staff and they wanted Schwartz to be DC incase they had to move on from Pederson. I'm surprised because he's been around long enough to have connections to form potential staffs.
Must be interviews or past that holds him back. At this point, his value won't get any higher than it is now. Kafka is the next in the line to be OC for Chiefs. Eric does have a rap sheet, but most of it comes over 20-30 years ago and mostly connected to ColoradoThis is what is happening. It is crazy but I guess Baalke has pictures of Khan doing something that he doesn't want leaked as that is the only thing that makes sense to why Baalke is still employed.

Even as an Eagles fan, the common fan wanted Howie Roseman gone for years now(though i feel that isn't as much of the case headed into this year). But, it never got to the point where it is with Baalke. Roseman was more of missing on high picks, but besides that he's been better in the later rounds and other aspects.
Baalke doesn't have the resume to allow the team to miss out on candidates.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Seems likely.
Think Gannon is a year or two away, and McCown probably needs to take the OC route to legitimately have a chance.
Gannon gets a bad rap from Eagles fans. But, looking at their defense, he did the best he could. Only had 1 blue-chip player. But, not sure if gets a job this soon.
Flores does seem likely and probably thinks he can convince Watson to want to stay(if he clears). But, Watson issue was with OwnershipComment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
How the hell has McCown gotten HC interviews?
What am I missing the hire ups are seeing in him, especially for someone who’s spent very little time coaching on the sidelines?#RespectTheCultureComment

"The #Vikings plan to fly in Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh for an interview Wednesday in Minnesota, per sources.
The sides spoke Saturday to gauge Harbaugh’s interest in the head coaching job. Now, another big step towards Harbaugh potentially returning to the NFL
#49ers DC DeMeco Ryans declined a second interview with the #Vikings, per source, opting to further his development in San Francisco.
So four remain in Minnesota’s head coaching search: #Rams OC Kevin O’Connell and DC Raheem Morris, #Giants DC Patrick Graham and Jim Harbaugh.."Last edited by illwill10; 01-31-2022, 09:05 PM.Comment
