Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
He 100% got screwed in New York for being the only guy who had the pair of balls to bench Eli. And I maintain the only reason he was fired was because he benched him for Geno Smith instead of Davis Webb. He could have maintained some plausible deniability about wanting to see younger players get some extended time and possibly kept his job IMOComment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
That whole Last Dance mess came from Rodgers, Adams and Cobb prior to the season. And since then, Rodgers has said the issues he had with Management had been resolved, including his relationship with them.
If Rodgers wants to be back, he’ll be back. If it’s one thing these GMs are good at, it telling fans that they’re broke and can’t afford to sign guys, when they actually can.
Rumor mills are going absolutely nuts with Rodgers wanting to go to Denver, and I just dont see it. I see Denver shipping out the extra 2 & 3 they got for Miller for someone like Cousins. Kirk quietly put together a wonderful season, and IMO would be right at home with the weapons Denver has at their disposal. I have read on multiple sites that Kirk could be had for as little as a 2-3-4 or just a 2-4.NFL - Denver Broncos

His former OC went there so of course 1 + 1 =
But if the choice for them were either Rodgers or Cousins…that’s an easy one, picks be damned.
Kirk plays 9-10 games in a Dome and still looks meh. But he’ll get you a lot of yards because he’s throwing the ball 40-50 times while trying to play catch up.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
The guy was top 10 in everything except qbr. Imagine what he could do with all the options in Denver. Just sayin.
I would strongly argue against trading a top 10 pick, plus more and a young player for Rodgers.

I don’t think he was saying Cousins is better than Rodgers. I read it as he would rather have Cousins with what it will cost to get him rather than give up what it would take to get Rodgers.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Lol that ain’t no different
These GMs can still build teams without 1st round picks and if your counter argument is going to be “Well, they’ll have to pay him a lot of money and they won’t be able to afford anyone else!”, every single one of us here know that argument is plain BS.
Might as well just bring back Case Keenum. He did more in 1 year with Minnesota than Cousins has done since he’s been there. There is no on the field, Football argument where Cousins is a better option to get you in contention to win a SB in the future than Rodgers.
And yes that last part matters because if you’re going after either QB, you’re doing it under the belief that they can get you back into the playoffs and possibly speed up the teams development, otherwise keep your picks, draft another QB and hope that one of those works out. Or you can just send GB a 2nd rd pick and take Jordan Love.#RespectTheCultureComment

"These GM's" doesn't equate to ALL GM'S. It will take more than should be given up for him, plain and simple. Multiple high round picks, and probably a young defensive or offensive talent for a guy that won't play more than 2 years. Why set your team back for a quick shot at a Superbowl?
Denver did that, and now they have had 6 bad years to think about it. I'm tired of these 1 or 2 year goals when they should be thinking long term.

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
I think Denver's skill talent is quite good, but is it better than Jefferson, Thielen, and Cook? And not only that but better enough to elevate Cousins? I don't know.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Patrick, Sutton, Jeudy, Williams, Gordon(?), Fant, Albert O. That's a heck of a lot more than just a few guys. All of those guys have proven they can play at a high level. Just need a guy to get them the ball, and with consistency.

I’d rather go all in on Rodgers for a few years than try and compete against Mahomes and Herbert with Kirk CousinsLast edited by reyes the roof; 01-28-2022, 06:17 PM.Comment
