    Re: 2022 Offseason Thread

At this point, I'd rather take my chances in the draft than to give up the required draft assets AND pay them a huge extension. Especially for a team like the Eagles. I get it when it was for someone like Calvin Ridley before the suspension or a vet like Robinson. But they are 2 years away from paying Smith that kind of money. For the Eagles, I feel they need a true X receiver that doesn't need a high volume of targets since Smith and Godert are volume receivers. I rather take my chances on a WR in the first round for the 3rd straight season, than trade for and extend another young WR. I would like to take a chance on George Pickens. Don't think he makes it to pick 51, but if they could trade down from #18 to the mid to late 20s, I would take him even though there's a lot of WR-needy teams in the 20s-30s.

I'm also all for trading Jalen Reagor for almost anything. It's time to move on. I still think he has upside, but probably not there. They had to force feed him manufactured touches and he struggled. Mainly because he felt he could outrun defenders. He doesn't have the elite speed or tackle breaking ability or vision for those looks.

George Pickens has the chance to blow up at the NFL. They were some attitude rumblings early on in his college career, however I'm not going to pretend to know how far those go. On the field he has what you want. Since he came back late in the season when he didn't have to for me that says a lot.

Pickens definitely has the WR1/X vibes. I rather have Pickens than London. It does says a lot that he came back and didn't struggle. So, I'm not as well concerned with Injury. #18 might be a little high, but I wouldn't be upset if he's that selection if not Williams isn't available. Eagles need a WR1/X , Smith is more of a Z receiver.

Only thing I see negative/Diva is attitude concerns.

Not as concerned with the Entitled/Diva concerns with Pickens, as that isn't uncommon with the position. You just need a strong WR room and QB to go along with it

I keep reading that you can't make a player for player trade when a guy (Adams) is on the Franchise Tag? Supposedly that's the reason why Waller wasn't sent to GB in that first deal? I've never heard that before.

Anyway, Josh McDaniels coming in and immediately unloading franchise players - he's nothing if not predictable.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

Yea I never knew either.... If Adams would have just signed it, we would have Waller already!! I still really hope the trade happens sometime during the draft.

Would it take a 3rd for Waller? or would it take one of their 2nds?

To be fair, the same had been said about Wilson and others
