You can if you have elite/HOF level QB play, which is why you pay them what they’re worth.

When you have average/JAGs at QB, you better get them high end talent at WR. But if you have a QB like Mahomes/Rodgers/Brady(for most of his career)Wilson, you can afford to gamble a little bit more.

I agree on both. My stance was more on Titans not willing to pay Bown at market value. That sends a bad vibe that we don't pay home grown talent. It just adds more pressure to incoming replacement. I'm in the boat of not paying RB a big 2nd contract. It sucks for the position .

I agree on gambling when you have an elite QB. When they lose the WR1, it usually forces them to spread out the targets more. While they lose the elite talent, it can open up the offense more. So, I'm curious to see how GB and KC plays. But, Titans should have paid Brown. Tannehill is an above average QB at best. You win with him, not because of him. You don't know how many more prime Henry years he has left.

Although, I generally agree. I see why Tennessee decided not to. They paid Henry and they also have Julio. I think, in their case, it made sense not to pay AJ so much. Henry’s cap 15 mil, Tannehil 40 mil, Julio 15 mil. There’s only but so much to spread around.

It also makes sense for Philly to pay, if Hurts is your guy, he is on a team friendly deal for a couple more years.

He needs to bounce back after a TERRIBLE 2021 which followed a major knee injury. If he does, he'll get another contract. This was the right move for Pittsburgh like declining Terrell Edmunds was last year.

Edmunds' circumstances were different (he's never hurt). While he's steady and reliable, he wasn't worth the $$ of the fifth year option and they brought him back for less than that this offseason.

Agreed. Coming off a major knee injury is hard. But as someone who watched every Steelers game last year(I'm sure you did too), it's absolutely the right move.

Having Alualu and, hopefully, Tuitt back as well as Jack replacing Schobert will be a big lift but we need to see the playmaker that we saw for 1.5 years before the knee injury. Bush looked like the next Steeler great at LB before he got hurt.

And yes, I haven't missed a game since 1994 (that's when NFL Sunday Ticket became a thing).

Interesting note, two of the three players that the Broncos took with the pick from that Bush trade (Fant and Lock) were part of their package for Russell.

Seahawks and Bucs to play in Germany. I am so old, that when I see these two teams I think "Oh cool, the two expansion teams are playing each other".

The last time Tampa played on international soil they had the worst jerseys ever and Jameis threw five picks.... I'm not OK with this decision.
