Re: Week 8 Discussion Thread
Down 27-7 with 3:45 left why would you even run the ball lol? Air it out Bears.

Re: Week 8 Discussion Thread
Has anyone ever lined up as the clock was running and the quarter is about to end and actually ran a play? I don’t know how anyone would fall for that, Bears got lucky the clock expired there before the false startComment

Re: Week 8 Discussion Thread
The collective minds that run the Bears are just dumb as hell.

Re: Week 8 Discussion Thread
This is the Getsy offense. There’s no rhyme or reason, it’s just hitting Ask Madden and randomly calling stuff because maybe it worked in practice once.Comment

Re: Week 8 Discussion Thread
It’s pointless in this game, but that’s one of the bigger things Field should take away from seeing someone else do it. Sometimes just take the 3 yards and move on to the next down.Comment

Re: Week 8 Discussion Thread
My only pushback to this(and this is in general because I always see fans say things like this)is how much of it is coaching and how much of it is players not knowing their assignments/being in their spots/situational awareness? It's not Bosa, he leads the league in QB hits. It has to do with playing constant zones and dropping too deep so the QB can get rid of it quicker then a 4 man rush can get there. Wilks calls plays as if he's literally petrified to get beat deep or even intermediate so he drops guys 10 yards deep and rarely blitzes. If we continue to just let teams dink and dunk all the way down the field then we aren't stopping anyone. He seems hell bent on a "bend but don't break" style but it isn't working and he refuses to adjust.

Re: Week 8 Discussion Thread
Well considering we returned quite a few of our starters I would say there is a coaching problem with Wilks, whether he's not putting the players in the right position or he's calling idiotic plays, see the cover zero blitz against Minnesota right before half last week as an example, the only thing that truly changed is the DC. Hell the defense was supposed to be better by signing Hargraves and instead we are worse against the run and getting eaten up by short passes all game. He's slow to adjust, doesn't seem to have a game plan and if he does it's been terrible for weeks and I really believe him being upstairs in the booth instead of down on the field has also caused some issues.
