I’m not even trying to poo poo on the suggestion, I’m just at a loss for what to do next.

We need to hit on some instant impact rookies or see major leap from first or second year players. I don’t know if we can afford instant help on the free agent wire or trade market, or who that would even be. The comment above about Cincinnati defense doing more with half the chances had me wondering where Lou Anarumo ended up, ha.

I think our biggest weakness is at defensive tackle. I like Ed Oliver individually, I like Terrell Bernard individually, I like Matt Milano individually, and I like Taron Johnson individually. But when you put all of them on the field, that leaves you at a major size disadvantage right up the spine. That in turn forces you to commit guys inside to stop the run and leaves us vulnerable on the outside over and over again. We have been cycling through old men 1 techs over and over for years: Star Lotuleilei, DaQuon Jones, Linval Joseph, etc. We need a real space-eating dude to hold the middle and let the skinny guys run around free. Otherwise you end up with Bernard getting washed out over and over at the second level.
Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.

Yeah, Jones was solid prior to this season but there might not be much tread on the tires left.

I wish we could've drafted Jordan Davis two years ago, but he soared up draft boards after the combine.

Bills might need to be willing to move some draft capital to go and get a high-end DT prospect. I think the defense was okay, but not great in any phase/level and that finally caught up to them.

As well as injuries crippling their secondary for the 1,000th time. [emoji38][emoji24]

Ryan Firitzpatrick putting some idiot in his place about the Bills last pay. The idiot expected Josh Allen to throw it to the Orbit that was happening meanwhile he has 3-4 people in his face asap.

This guy is getting roasted lmao

Fitz is right (albeit a bit harsh). The the guy even diagramed out why Allen didn't go to the RB, the defense didn't run with motion, so clearly the first couple of progressions on the play were the crossers and the deep route on the right side. He didn't have time to get to what was probably his 4th option based on the pre-snap read of the coverage because of the pressure. It's all wishful thinking from there.

Allen expected pressure from the left and when it didn't, he thought there wouldn't be pressure at all. So he turned right expecting to see space and instead saw two unblocked rushers headed straight for him. Once he turned right it was over, even getting off a pass is insane.

Also throwing a checkdown 10+ yards behind the sticks on 4th and Season would get Allen roasted, rightly so.
