Re: 2012 "Who to start?" Thread

Ok im at a loss for half my positions. Lol. I will put my summaries down but I would love all you guys opinions as well.
First off the QB Position:
Matthew Stafford
(Det - QB) @SF
or
Joe Flacco
(Bal - QB) @Phi
Summary - I seen what the 49ers D did to the Packers and with Stafford coming off a bad game I am unsure if I will start him however Flacco looked very solid last night and he goes up against the Eagles Def. I think the Eagles defense is not very good and was made to look a hell of a lot better by subpar QB play. Right now it seems to be geared more towards Flacco.
WR/TE Position:
Andre Johnson
(Hou - WR) @Jac
Percy Harvin
(Min - WR) @Ind
Torrey Smith
(Bal - WR) @Phi
DeSean Jackson
(Phi - WR) Bal
Justin Blackmon
(Jac - WR) Hou
Jason Witten
(Dal - TE) @Sea
Brandon Pettigrew
(Det - TE) @SF
Summary - As you can see this is the biggest strength of my team. Andre Johnson and Percy Harvin are deffinally starting however the rest are up in the air. Depending on what QB I start dictates whether I will start Pettigrew (Stafford) or Smith (Flacco). I love the QB/WR combos, double points! Where my decision get hard is between Jackson, Blackman and Witten. My starting Def. is Baltimore so I hate starting someone against them like Jackson, Gabbert looks solid however he will be going up against the Texans who did hold the Dolphins however it was the Dolphins and Witten going up against Seattle seems like a good choice however the injury he has seems iffy. I still have no clue who to start here but it will be between who I dont start partnered with a QB (Pettigrew or Smith), Blackman or Witten. Last resort would be Jackson.
HB Position:
Darren Sproles
(NO - RB) @Car
Marshawn Lynch
(Sea - RB) Dal
Alfred Morris
(Was - RB) @StL
Summary - I think that Sproles will play for sure however my second Running Back is up in the air. Do I use a banged up Lynck against a so far solid Dallas Defense or do I ise Morris against the Rams that the lions did well aginst on the ground last week. At this time I am leaning more towards Morris but unsure.Last edited by Candyman5; 09-11-2012, 07:11 AM.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os

Re: 2012 "Who to start?" Thread
QB: Jay Cutler vs GB or Mike Vick vs BAL. Leaning towards Cutler
Flex: Michael Bush vs GB, DeAngelo Williams vs NO, Randall Cobb vs CHI, Heyward Bey vs MIA, Nate Washington vs SD. Leaning toward Bush though obviously still a toss up.
QB: Michael Vick vs BAL or Eli Manning vs TB. Leaning towards Vick.
WR2/Flex (choose 2): Heyward Bey vs MIA, Nate Washington vs SD, Ogletree vs SEA, Blackmon vs HOU. No idea on this one.
TE: Jermaine Gresham vs CLE or Coby Fleener vs MIN. Leaning towards Fleener.
That is all.

No "I told you so!" Pack? Ha ha.
Regardless of Week 1, I still don't think the first one is even a question, and don't think one of the names in the 2nd question should even be on your team (he had a good game though).Comment

Re: 2012 "Who to start?" Thread
Much like my advice to Pack, you drafted Stafford very high... there shouldn't even be a question of whether or not he's starting unless he's slumping big time (too early to say that), injured, or against an insane match up. The 9ers are a pretty tough match up, lol. But the Eagles D is no slouch either. I'd still go with Stafford (and I LOVE Flacco this year).

WRs/TEs should probably go as listed.
RBs, Morris should definitely start against the Rams.
Note to everyone: Everything said on Tuesday is subject to change. These questions should really be closer to the end of the weekComment

Agree with your thoughts on the first one.QB: Jay Cutler vs GB or Mike Vick vs BAL. Leaning towards Cutler
Flex: Michael Bush vs GB, DeAngelo Williams vs NO, Randall Cobb vs CHI, Heyward Bey vs MIA, Nate Washington vs SD. Leaning toward Bush though obviously still a toss up.
QB: Michael Vick vs BAL or Eli Manning vs TB. Leaning towards Vick.

TE: Jermaine Gresham vs CLE or Coby Fleener vs MIN. Leaning towards Fleener.
That is all.
Second, I'd go with Eli, Washington and either TE.Comment

Re: 2012 "Who to start?" Thread
GB really wants to get Cobb involved, and they did a lot last week. However, Baltimore's receiving corp is a lot thinner than GBs, so I'd go Smith for sure.Comment

Re: 2012 "Who to start?" Thread
If you get points for return yards (not just TDs) I'd go with Cobb. Otherwise it's a toss-up between the two I think. Cobb showed a lot last week, and I have a feeling as the year goes on he will just see more and more touches/play time.
Smith always has big play ability though. Kind of a neutralizer in FF, especially with Flacco actually looking off safeties in week 1 and having the arm he has.badComment
