I think it helps. I think Thomas has been taking a lot of Hurns' touches the last couple of weeks anyway... either bc he's been playing hurt or just Bortles and Thomas getting more comfortable with each other. At the very least, the red zone targets that would normally go to Hurns will likely be added to Thomas' total, as the next WR in line is more of an Edelman type.

Re: 2015 "Who Should I Start" Thread
All comes down to this for me. Win and I'm in. So I need to do whatever I can to win this week. There's a chance I get in with a few losses by a couple of other teams, but I don't want to chance anything.
First off, should I roll with Derek Carr against the Chiefs (I have their defense btw) or hit the waivers for Cutler, Winston or Mariota (all sitting there right now)?
Currently my starting lineup is
RB1: Charcandrick West @ Oak
RB2: Jeremy Langford vs. SF
WR1: Martavis Bryant @ Ind
WR2: Amari Cooper vs. KC
TE: Gary Barnidge vs. Cin
FLEX: Scott Chandler vs. Phi
Def: KC @ Oak
K: Matt Prater vs. GB
I don't exactly trust the two tight end move, but my bench is so depleted from all these injuries it seems like the best spot to look for points.
WR: Allen Hurns @ Ten (concussion), DeVante Parker vs. Bal
RB: Spencer Ware @ Oak, Andre Ellington @ STL (turf toe), Jay Ajayi vs. Bal, Brandon Bolden vs Phi
I have an empty bench spot right now. James Jones, Willie Snead, Nate Washington, Dwayne Harris, Markus Wheaton, Malcolm Floyd, Tyler Lockett, Cecil Shorts and Devin Funchess are all available WR options right now. Would one of them be better look in my starting lineup this week and moving forward if I make it?Comment

I think your starters look good. Obviously keep following the news on West vs Ware. I like Parker a lot vs my Ravens with all the injuries Miami has a WR. But I think Chandler is again, the safer pick. He had 11 targets last week (Gronk was healthy most of the game) and will be a great red zone target. I think you've got things set up correctly.
With all that said, Floyd, Funchess and Harris could be interesting moving forward. I don't know who I'd drop for any of them though. Generally I'd say Bolden bc he will never be predictable enough to start in the playoffs. But you are rolling some dice at RB so it's best to have as many options as possible.Comment

How would you get one of those QBs? If it's dropping Carr, it's not worth it. I think Cutler is the safest, but Carr is probably a close second (can't start a rookie in a game this big for you).

I still have a open bench spot that I was debating on rolling with one of those QBs at so I could hang on to Carr since he has decent match ups for what would be the last two playoff games in the league against GB & SD, just his matchup this week is brutal, especially with KC likely wanting to bounce back from last weeks performance against Tyrod. Winston and Cutler have pretty good matchup a for the playoffs while also having a good matchup this week. Maybe I'm overthinking just because of how big this week is lol

Re: 2015 "Who Should I Start" Thread
Forte vs SF, Buck Allen @ Miami, or Charcandrick @ Oakland? CJ Anderson @ SD?
Gotta win this week.
Sunday night update
Phew, Sanders and Landry almost screwed me. Who expected 1 pt combined? Dalton, Young Buck, Rawls, and Chiefs D bailed me out. My team put up 98 which is good enough to clinch first place and #1 in points scored.
I will be riding Dalton through the playoffs. A new Dalton image will be my team logo each week. If I get to the Championship game, it will be this

So I'm rolling with Mike Evans vs NO as WR1. I need a WR2.
Jarvis Landry vs NYG, Dez Bryant @ GB, Emmanuel Sanders vs OAK?
I could pick up Anquan Boldin. Part of me thinks he goes off @Cleveland.Last edited by MattUM; 12-08-2015, 05:39 PM.Fan of:

Re: 2015 "Who Should I Start" Thread
I think I like Sanders the most against that Oakland secondary. I really like Landry's match up too and expect (hope for my own sake) he gets his usual number of targets, but last week was kind of scary. And as crazy as it sounds, I don't think Dez is an option with these other two ahead of him.Comment

Re: 2015 "Who Should I Start" Thread
I've got a tough one this week... it seems obvious but I'm not so sure it is.
PPR league, need 2 out of these 3...
Cooper vs DEN
Landry vs NYG
Parker vs NYG
I'm really scared of Cooper going against the DEN secondary. He's been more inconsistent than a lot of people realize throughout the year. Teams have adjusted to him in game and effectively shut him down, and last week he really never got it going.
Landry should have a dream match up but under the new coach, the dolphins are running like crazy. I'm not sure if that explains his 1.5 point performance last week or not (he did go off for almost 40 points the week before) but it's enough to worry me, especially with the next guy...
Parker finally got some love two weeks ago. He's scored a td and double digit fantasy points each of the last two weeks. Can't see why he won't have another good game against the Giants crappy secondary.
I'm inclined to sit Cooper but can't wrap my head around putting all my eggs in the Dolphins passing game basket.Comment

For my playoff game, Jameis Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick? I know neither option is great lol, but I started the year with Stafford and Luck who were dumpster fires this year.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

I've lost my #1 RB in Jamal Charles and my #1 WR in Julian Edelman, but somehow I made the playoffs. Unfortunately, now I've lost my #2 RB in Mark Ingram so advancing will be tough. Here's the lineup I'm considering going with:

I think the safe option is the two Dolphins, since you should get good production from at least one, and maybe decent from the other. Personally, I might be inclined to go against the grain and start Cooper, despite logic dictating otherwise, just because he's super talented and the Raiders are gonna throw the ball.
I have different receivers but I benched Amari for the playoffs this week in my league. I think he could have a decent game, but that secondary worries me. I would go the last two if I were you.

As for you, actually I think BOTH options are great this week. Winston is still a rookie so I'd go with Fitz, but I think you can be happy with either one.Comment

Yeah, that's a tough one. I never like rolling with two guys who are eating from the same pie, but that matchup for Cooper definitely isn't good.

I'd go with Winston. He's been playing pretty well and that Saints defense is awful. He could have a field day. I'm on board with pretty much all Tampa Bay offensive players this week.Comment
