Take a look at Blount's stats man. It's kind of shocking bc we know Brady has been on a tear and Lewis has been great, but if we all redrafted now we'd take Blount over Hill for the same type of role 10 times out of 10.

You should be completely fine with him going forward, no matter what.

2015 "Who Should I Start" Thread

Okay so I'm in another pickle. Yay for yet another running back injury for me. Gonna miss Dion Lewis.

Anyway really stuck on which way to go with starters this week. I've got Forsett, Langford, Karlos Williams, Ryan Matthews and just grabbed James White off waivers (though I'm thinking of dropping him and picking up Ajayi). Obviously I'm starting Forsett, but would it be better going Williams or Langford? McCoy is making this decision difficult because he's got this shoulder injury but everything I'm reading is that he's playing. Meanwhile that Rams defense definitely has me thinking twice about Langford.

That brings me to WR. I could start both Langford and Williams with one in the Flex since my receivers are Hurns, Cooper, Martavis, Tavon Austin and Stevie Johnson. I'm starting Cooper but I read he went down in practice yesterday so that's a little scary, Hurns didn't practice with a foot injury that apparently seems more serious than the last few times he's turned up on the report so I'm thinking I shouldn't start him? Martavis is likely the other starter since Stevie is on bye and Austin isn't consistent enough I don't think. Thoughts guys?

I've got similar problems. First, don't you dare drop White for Ajayi... he's only a Miller handcuff at the moment. White should have a bigger role if nothing else changes.

As for starters, it's tough bc you've gotta make a decision tonight on Williams but his matchup vs NYJ isn't any better than Langford's against STL. And his touches are unpredictable, while Langford should be getting 20+. If you're really scared, you could run with Matthews who has a good matchup and has been productive even as the 2nd fiddle.

I read the same thing about Cooper and am wondering what to think. His matchup is great if he gets out there... so is Hurns. I'd wait to make the WR decision bc of this.

I've got a serious decision in a game for 1st place. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone can help me but I'm venting anyway.

So I've got McCoy and Williams for one RB spot... and I could start both and sit Cooper, but I'd have to make that decision today (and Cooper's got the best match up of the 3).

Right now I'm leaning toward starting Williams bc I think his floor is "ok" but any number of things could happen to McCoy that would increase Williams' stats. McCoy, on the other hand, could go out at any moment... but I think he has the better chance at a big game (though still not likely against the Jets D).

Has there been any news on Cooper's issue from yesterday? If we hear something bad about that before the game tonight, you kinda have to start both McCoy and Williams, I would think. Otherwise, I think I'd go Williams in your case. He's been pretty darn efficient with his touches this year and they may be nursing McCoy. Tough call though I and I don't think you'd be faulted for going with either one.

On my end, I've also got Williams tonight. I grabbed him off waivers this week expecting Latavius Murray and Matt Forte to miss. Now I'm hearing that Murray could easily be cleared by Sunday and Forte has been practicing. I'm not going to count on Forte but I like Murray better than Williams. I'm planning to play it safe and start Williams but I've got my big rival this week and don't want to have to deal with losing to him. LOL What do you think?

Funny, if there is such a thing as a fantasy sports rival, I'd have to say I'm playing mine in this game too. What's worse, we're playing for 1st place in our division, and total points lead... and we're a week out from a blockbuster trade that included me giving him Dez (with the great matchup this week) for McCoy and Williams. Ugh.

Haven't heard anything new about Cooper. I guess I should keep my eyes open for news after the Thursday practices. I've got Nate Washington on my bench (also got Crowder and Ertz if I really wanted to stretch) but obviously I'd rather start McCoy/Williams in the flex than any of these guys if I have to.

Yours is tough. It'd be nice to just wait for Murray... he should have a good game if he can go. But if he doesn't go, you're pretty much screwed. Who would you have to work with if you didn't go with Williams and found out tomorrow or Saturday that Murray is out?

He's a rival because, my first year in the league, he did weekly write-ups and kept talking about how I'd fall off but I kept winning. Then, later that season, he offered me a trade that I accepted and then reneged on the deal by calling his buddies in the league to veto. If there's one guy in the league that I want to beat, it's him.

I suppose I could pick up Taiwan Jones or Marcel Reese, too and then I'm covered with Oakland either way. I might have to sit Williams...and then promptly watch him explode tonight for 150 and 2 or something.

I see. Well my buddy started playing fantasy sports a year after me, about 20 years ago. Since then we've been in at least one league together for football, basketball and baseball every single year... and more likely we're in 2 or 3 together for each. Neither of us have ever won this big money 16 team league that we've both been in for 11 years now. This year we're both in good shape to end that, especially after that trade we made with each other.

So... yeah, always want to beat him and especially this week lol.

Can't lie, I hope Williams does go off... but it would be against conventional wisdom. This could be a GREAT week for Jones, but there's no logic to how they use him and Morris so that's a little scary. Similar situation with a little less risk and less upside would be White. The other two would be more shots in the dark imo.

Problem with the OAK backfield is you've got those two AND personally I think Helu is the main one to benefit if Murray doesn't go (I think he was a healthy scratch bc he is the most similar to Murray... the others have pretty well defined roles). It'd be pretty risky trying to guess who to go with there.

With all that said, I think I would wait for Murray. I have him in another league also (with 7 leagues, I've got almost everyone in at least one, lol) and am in an even worse spot than you. I really don't have anyone on the roster worth taking his place so it'll be a mad scramble on Sunday if he doesn't play. I'm not too worried at this point.

Just saw that Murray has been cleared. Likewise, Cooper was back at practice today. Guess I'll roll with Murray still.

In this week's edition of Bmore's ****ty Running Backs, we have a choice between Alfred Blue and Matt Jones in the hopeless RB2 slot.

Ok I got a serious WR starting Issue.

I messed up and forgot to throw Eric Decker in the lineup before the Thursday game so he is out of the question now and is sitting on my bench with 17.50 points.

                          The others I got are:
                          OBJ vs NE
                          Demaryius Thomas vs KC
                          Marvin Jones vs Houston
                          Allen Hurns @ Baltimore

I can start 3 of them in both WR slots and the W/R/T slot.

Im dont know who to play, I am playing OBJ because I got Eli as my QB and its nice to get those double points.

DT goes up against a struggling KC team but has issues getting into the Endzone.

Marvin Jones is on a very talent rich Bengals offense and goes up againt a Texans Defense that gives TD's out like candy on Halloween.

Allen Hurns has just been a monster and goes up against struggling Baltimore Defense. However has the foot issue that knowbody knows anything about.

Im thinking OBJ, Hurns and DT or OBJ, Hurns, Jones

Through injuries and a BYE week, it has come to this... (FWIW the best WW options are Joique & Vereen)

RB2 in standard league, CJ Anderson or Antonio Andrews?

                            pls help

                                Jamison Crowder vs Saints
I'd go Martin. Starting back against a Dallas defense that hasn't been too good lately.

Love the matchup for Crowder, but I don't think I could put a 3rd or 4th receiving option on a bad team in over a starting running back.
