    Re: Official Carolina Panthers thread

Its been a very quiet off-season for the panthers. Hopefully, we can go ahead and get Julious Peppers to agree to a long time deal. It would be a shame to see him leave Carolina this way but at the same time if he doesnt want to be a Panther and wear that carolina blue faithfully on sundays then we need to let the man go !!! Im a Panther fan before im a "Julious Peppers fan" !

I think we had a good draft today for the most part. Considering where we had traded away our 1st round pick this year. I'm pissed that we traded next year's 1st round pick this weekend but hopefully it will be either #31 or #32 next year.

Apparently the new Panthers Defensive coaches are really high on DE Everette Brown, so I'm gonna trust them for now.

I wasn't aware until I starting looking at some post-draft reviews that Carolina traded its 2010 1st-rounder to go up and draft Brown...

Steve Smith is possibly out for the preseason.

Could possibly be a blessing in disguise. Panthers can focus more on getting Jarrett more touches & figuring out the 4-6 WR's. In the past, Smith seems able to step on the field w/little preperation & be the best of 22 right from the get go.

When Kenny Moore was playing here at WFU I loved watching him and I believe he should not only make the team but also be the 3rd WR - he's way better at route running than the seemingly nonchalant Jarrett.

Hope he provides something. This looks like a long season for the Panthers. I'm actually looking forward to it in a macabre sort of way.

Biggest issue in the preseason, the lack of tackling. I wasn't worried about the offense because other than game 3, the key players didn't really play.

Just the tackling seem to be off. The big guy in the middle will be missed.

Yeh, Ron Meeks addressed the issue as well.

I just don't see any urgency from this team @ all. Granted, it was preseason. But you'd think guys would be ready for some semblance of competiton when you're @ this level. Like your blood is beginning to boil. Right now, I don't see anything "bubbling" in their play, words or demeanor.

All of you know how I feel about MisJake, that his best days are behind him. The injuries on the defensive side cause you to worry. & then, there is the schedule.

In fairness, the Giants, Steelers & Ravens aren't exactly soft, cellar dwellars. So maybe they are preparing against a tough "OOC" to get ready for a tought "conference" slate. Let's hope so.

I really know nothing of the Dolphins, in all honesty. That's why I didn't bring them up. I know the other 3 want to be physical, love to be physical, yearn to be physical. The only time I saw Miami last year was Chad's MisJake imitation in the playoffs.
