Well men, I don't think we could have asked for anything more. Delhomme looked good, defense shut down Jackson, and everyone else in the division lost. Perfect.

I think the defensive performance after the 1st quarter was most encouraging. Giving up a TD to open the season & then shutting them out the rest of the way was very nice to see. Not easy when Holt, Bulger & Jackson are wearing the other uni's.

Offensive line was pretty good. Zero sacks & almost 5 yds a rush.

Dan Morgan didn't end up on IR. That's a major shock.

I'd like to see more playmaking on the defensive side of the ball. I'm not convinced the performance vs a poor Ram defense is what we can expect all year. There needs to be more turnovers created & a better pass rush.

I agree with that. They could hae used a low more pressure on the QB, just one sack if I remember correctly.

Two forced fumbles was good, would have liked to see them get a pick but on the other hand I'd rather have Gamble and Lucas staying on their man instead of trying to jump the route looking for INTs and giving up big plays.

I see the Panthers signed TE Christian Fauria.

            Pathetic, pitiful, putrid Panther performance.

Zero pass rush (Is Peppers still on the team? Since the 1st half of last season, he's been invisible.).

Huge amount of blame needs to go to the front office. This is still a Smith or nothing offense. The decision making by the brain trust is horrific. Why this team let go Key is still a mystery. They depended on Keary Colbert who has never proved himself or Dwayne Jarret who can't get on the field.

Fox continues to be a Mon-Sat coach who can't provide his team any guidance when things go south on Sunday.

& Delhomme's 3 sacks all came when he had plenty of time, just couldn't decide where to throw the ball. And that last minute dink & dunk drive had the urgency of a midweek practice. It really looked like Jake was just interested in padding his stats.

This team was outplayed in every aspect of the game. Defensively, offensively, special teams. 2 punts downed @ the one & a TD off a fumble on a return. Ugly crapola.

Won today but the defense looked terrible. Good to see the running game get something done though and the offense to put up points without much Smith.

Paper mentioned today that the Panthers have a sub .500 record in Charlotte. That includes a perfect first season.

I think they are under .500 overall as a franchise, so that isn't that surprising. I remember hearing that they have a better road record though since Fox has been coach.

Not by much. 22-19. Here's the article BTW.

Reports after the game say John Fox acknowledged surgery is possible for Jake. In the long run, it would be good. This team needs to start the rebuilding process as soon as possible.

Panthers have to be the worst 3-2 team in the league. The only game they truly one was vs winless St.Louis. They should have lost to 1 win Atl & winless Orleans.

They found 7 other teams worse than the 1-15 Panthers?
