I don't think it would be a big deal to play Pitt. Manning will be ready to go from day 1.

Beadles was ranked 2nd to last. JD Walton was 2nd to last. That's not good but I know, Tebow will be brought up.

Hunter yesterday...sounds like Thomas is going to sign as well. I think that's good news. Not great players, but maintaining some continuity on the line will be good. Plus, they can go after DL in the draft.

Honestly, I think that's really unfair for those guys. And yeah, Tebow plays a massive role. When your QB holds the ball for over 7 seconds, he's going to get pressured. And really, when an offensive line consistently gives a QB over 7 seconds to throw the ball, I think that's pretty damn good with all things considered. Watching the Broncos games, how many times did we see Tebow just stand there, forever, looking for a receiver? I will give that the line struggled with the run.

That all said, I expect some good things from our offensive line this year. Like we've said, this is a young group that's only going to get better. Manning should help them come along, putting the offense into situations for better success. That means getting out of plays that are doomed to fail, better communication, and throwing the ball with timing.

The Broncos are looking at Brock Osweiler. I was hoping they would draft a QB to learn the ropes under Manning. He's projected to go in the second round or so, and that's higher than where I thought Denver would be looking to take a QB given their current needs. I guess depending on how the draftboard falls out, taking Osweiler in the second round would be better than reaching at a position of need.

I think we take him if he falls to the 3rd round, but no sooner.

I'm disappointed that Demaryius felt he had to come out and and say what he did about Tebow. Unnecessary and not very classy. Especially when you take into account what Tebow said and did for Thomas during that Bears game.

Meh. I feel like we want athletes to take the high road AND want them to be honest. That can't always go hand in hand. I want Tebow to succeed but those of us (including everyone in this thread) that realize he's got a ways to go and got a lot of help from different places last year should be refreshed that someone on that team brought a little truth to the situation.

Plus, if I were in his shoes and had to hear how Tebow brought them to success alone on his back I'd probably be a little annoyed too. He didn't say anything that wasn't true.

Exactly. Didn't bother me in the least. I like seeing some straight-up honesty.

Maybe. But who do you think is going to get credit for the success next year? It's not going to be Thomas.

I just don't think it's necessary to come out and take shots at an ex-teammate who did nothing but build him up. Tebow doesn't control the hype. It just follows him. Everyone knows that. Tebow NEVER took credit for what was going on in Denver. He ALWAYS praised his teammates and said it was them that make it all possible. He constantly thanked them for making him look better than he really is. Tebow is a good kid, and in my opinion Demaryius should just shut his pie-hole.

Yes, there was some truth in what Thomas said, but just because he was honest doesn't make it right. I thought it was classless. Thomas isn't exactly a premiere receiver yet. He dropped A LOT of balls last year. When he did, who was there to pick him up?

If I recall, Thomas didn't drop a lot of balls. In fact, he was out for half the year. When he came back, Tebow rarely looked his way for a while.

You wanted the canned, PC response. That's what we always get, and your reaction is exactly why. We know what the right thing to say would have been, but we also know it isn't the truth. The truth is he's excited to going from last year's offense to having one of the greatest QBs ever throwing to him. The truth is also that he's probably sick of having to talk about Tebow. It's not Tebow's fault but that doesn't change the fact that Thomas has to deal with it. That play he made to beat the Steelers was amazing, and the talk was still mostly how Tebow won the game. Can you really blame him?

He's got no ties to Tebow. We can assume they got along but they really only need to be coworkers. I didn't read anything I felt was really discrediting him, and he hasn't gone out of his way to talk about it. He just honestly answered a question. Personally I wish more players did... for the good or the bad.

I guarantee you every WR agrees with Thomas. Who wouldn't rather have Peyton Manning than Tim Tebow?

Actually, he played in every game that Tebow did. His first game back was the Miami game. Counting the playoffs, he played in 13 games. I remember critical drops that would have kept drives going. Maybe 'a lot' is a reach, but they were there.

You are right. I don't like canned responses either, but this one bothered me a little bit just because Tebow seemed to pick Thomas up when he struggled. He threw Tebow under the bus, and then later tried to pull him back out by saying that wasn't what he meant. Obviously I don't know the back-story between the two, but I also thought Thomas sounded 'different' in that interview. He's normally pretty shy. I know he was talking with guys that he was comfortable with, so maybe that was it.

I don't know him (or his relationship with Tebow) any more than you, but I can paint a plausible picture that makes sense to me. As a team player he didn't want to dig into his teammate during the season, but he didn't have much good to say so he didn't say anything. During that time the media continued to pile on about all the great things Tebow did (not the Broncos or anyone else on the team) while pointing out issues with other areas on the team when they didn't win. Now the kid's gone and he still has to answer questions about him. He's annoyed and wants to move on to talking about how he can grow with Manning, etc.

Again, I don't know if that's true but I can't imagine most players on that team (especially WRs that all have a little diva in them) felt that way... they just didn't all let it out.

Personally I don't care about Tebow picking him up. That's what he does and who he is. He's a good kid, but that shouldn't make him above criticism... that's the problem with the circus around him now. I'd rather everyone be looked at honestly for their play. It's not about throwing anyone under the bus, but I don't want PC answers bc someone is a nice guy either.
