Yeah, it was nice to see this Broncos team respond when momentum had clearly shifted. They stopped the bleeding, made plays, and took the game back over.

Good road win, albeit a bit sloppy at times. Again, it was primarily Denver's own mistakes that caused them the most problems. Good teams win games like this, and they did that.

Just realized that Woodyard led the team today with 14 total tackles. The man is a tackling machine.

Decker is beginning to mature before our eyes. He played like a man, and I really like seeing his will to get into the endzone. He just needs to not give up on his route when Manning throws that pick in the endzone. Manning is all about timing and puts the ball where he expects his receiver to be.
It was nice to see Denver overcome their costly mistakes. Just keep it rolling!

Honestly, I think that pick in the endzone was really just about the DB jumping the route. That DB broke on the ball immediately and completely boxed out Decker.

And it's no shocker that Manning hit Decker on a fade route to the corner late in the game. Likely playing on the fact that the DB jumped the slant. On the fade route, the DB was totally hosed.

Decker has really stepped up his game since that whole sliding incident. He's made some tough catches and limited his drops.

I'd still like to see Denver's wide receivers as a whole make more of the routine catches. They had at least 3 drops in the first half. I might be mistaken but at least 2 of them were on 3rd down for first downs.

I think Decker did pretty well. According to ESPN, Decker was targeted 11 times, with 8 receptions. Two of those targets were picks, which means only one pass to Decker went incomplete.

Thomas had 8 targets, with 6 receptions. Stokley had 4 targets, with 3 receptions. Dreessen was perfect, 4 for 4. Tamme was 3 for 4.

So not too shabby. And kudos to Thomas for really picking up his play after dealing with some butter fingers early on in the season. The receiving corp. has really gelled, and I think having a guy like Stokley is the glue. I really think Stokley's total contributions to the team are huge. Not only does he come up with big plays at key moments, he's a leader and mentor to these young receivers and it's clearly paying off.

You are dead on regarding Stokely. He has always played with integrity and is clutch during key moments of games. I really respect the guy also for keeping the younger guys in check. Decker was asked in an interview about the TD celebration idea of throwing an "alley-oop" for Thomas to dunk over the crossbar, but Stokely nonchalantly pokes the ball out of his hand, didn't bother to stop running to the sideline as he called Decker an "idiot." Decker thought that was funny and immediately understood that taking a 15 yard penalty at that stage of the game was quite idiotic.
It's crazy to think that Stokely would still be on the couch if it weren't for Manning going to Denver. Pure and simple, Stokely is a STUD.

The Broncos' identity is forming, and they are becoming what we all hoped they would be. It's exciting to watch. The game last week in Cincinnati was a classic game that they would lose post Elway. Not only did they turn it around, they won in relative comfortable fashion.

This week is another game that would normally concern me. I am anxious to see how they handle it. I want to see that they are truly becoming a dominant team.

I'm starting to believe again in this defense and trust that they can make a play. It's nice. Real nice. Keep it going!

When you stop and think about it, how many of you can believe that Manning is Denver's QB? I still can't, and it's been eight months. Very surreal..... and very cool.

                    Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread

                    Some random tidbits:

                    - Denver is tied for the second-least sacks allowed. The Broncos' O-Line has allowed 10 sacks this season, tied with Houston. Only the Giants have allowed fewer, with 9 sacks.

                    - Denver's defense is 8th overall in total yards allowed. That's despite a turnover ratio of -4 for the season. Only Detroit (4-4) and Dallas (3-5) have negative turnover ratios with top ten defenses.

                    - Offensively, Denver is tied for 3rd in 3rd down conversions (47.1%) with Atlanta. Only New England and Pittsburgh have been better.

                    - Peyton Manning is first in the league in passer rating.

                    - Manning also is first with the most yards per attempt (8.23 yards per attempt).

                    - Von Miller is now tied for second in sacks.

-Demaryius Thomas is 4th in the league in receiving yards.

What makes me smile is that the Broncos are justifying Manning's choice to come here. The Titans are falling apart.

This is what happens when a good defense has an offense that can compliment it. Getting a lead, getting a rest, all of that plays into the defense's performance.

Our defense isn't great, but they're good. And any good defense can turn it on when playing with double digit leads. What's nice is seeing guys like Robert Ayers step up after Dumervil left the game.

It's nice to see the defense really win this one, especially after how they were walked all over by the Panthers early in the first.

Nice road win. Offense wasn't fully clicking, and they still won handily.

For the first time in Broncos history, they have scored on a kick return, punt return, fumble return, and interception return for a TD all in the same season....and it is only week 9.

The Broncos are playing well in all three phases for the first time since '98.

Denver has desperately needed their own Clay Mathews Jr. I think they have him. I loved that 'Superman' fly-away Miller did after his first sack on Newton. How about blowing Newton up in the backfield later in the game?

McGahee has to get his ball control issues figured out. His fumbles could kill this team against good competition in close games. He makes me nervous everytime he carries the ball.

Dumervil's injury is just a strained muscle. Nothing serious. Not sure if he will play this week, though.

This game was a perfect example that Dumervil is not an impact player on this defense. Ayers and others came in and he wasn't missed. If Von Miller went out, it'd completely alter the dynamic of the defense. Not true with Elvis. He is, IMO, a rotational guy who should be in on passing downs only.
