I don't know if it's hate for some people, but maybe just more frustration because he just hasn't been the back he was drafted to be. Last week was just one game, but I hope it continues. I love the kid's attitude, we just need him to produce on a more consistent basis. Right now, he's the guy I want to see back there. This is the hardest I've seen him run. Hopefully he'll hold-up.

Even though it didn't count, how about that block he threw? That was sweet.

Hillman was totally MIA last game. I thought we would have seen more of him, especially following the Ball fumble. Which, by the way, I was surprised to see Ball back out there so quickly. When Hillman fumbled last year, Fox would bench the rest of the game.

I'm listening to ESPN radio, and Mike Klis is calling Clady's loss a "huge blow to the Broncos." Am I the only one who doesn't feel that way? I just don't think it's going to be THAT huge of a loss. I think Clady has been solid for us, in pass protection, but he's mediocre as a run blocker. I think the coaching staff, and Manning, will be able to make up for the loss. And our passing game has Manning getting rid of the ball quickly anyways.

I really don't see Clady's loss as so detrimental as to consider it damaging to our Super Bowl hopes. Honestly, I'd be more concerned if Ramirez goes down. I think his relationship with Manning, and his grasp of what's going on, is more important.

Peyton got by with a mediocre o-linr for many years with Indy. Not that it isn't a decided downgrade.Winston Justice was picked up today for what that's worth.Peyton's quick release and pocket awareness has made him typically the least sacked qb from year to year.I have read much of the talk about being a big blow to Superbowl chances.I think we'll have to worry a little more about the few dominant pass rushers we face but honestly, who in the AFC is even remotely close to the Broncos as Superbowl contenders.I suppose I would put Houston a distant second and maybe Cindy third but they aren't at the same level.

Clark isn't worried, and he says you shouldn't be either.

The real issue, in terms of pressure, is up the middle. Pressure from the middle of the pocket will cause Manning issues. Outside pressure is easier to escape, he need merely step up in the pocket. Most defenders are racing on their horses to get around the corner. But if the center/guards mess up and allows a linebacker or DT through, Manning is a sitting duck. It sucks that it happens to be his blind side, but you can have Moreno chip in on that side and ensure Manning's back is safe. You can also line up a TE there.

Additionally Chris Clark has started significant games for us. It's not as if he sits the bench all the time. So he isn't green. There is plenty the team can do to help Clark in his duties, and I think Clark will be serviceable in the role. If opposing defenses try to flood the left side and bring extra men, I'm sure Manning will start hot-routing some quick slants to punish the linebackers.

When we used to play against Manning, that always frustrated me. It didn't matter if we blitzed, rushed 4, rushed 6, or whatever else. He'd get the throw off quicker than anyone could even get in the backfield. Then Stokley would take a 3 yard slant and turn it into 15 yards because our linebackers were busy blitzing.

Details of Miller's suspension hit. According to Schefter, Von Miller collaborated with the drug test collector to avoid failing a test.

Suspended Broncos linebacker Von Miller unsuccessfully attempted to corrupt the NFL's drug testing program with the help of a urine collector before each was caught in a matter that will affect how collection testing procedures are done moving forward.

I was at the game Monday night, and I watched Carter hobble off of the field. I haven't seen anything on the extent of his injury, but I am pretty sure he was held out of the rest of the game. Anybody know anything? Turned ankle?

That new HD scoreboard is awesome. I wish they were still playing Gary Glitter's Rock and Roll Part 2 after scores. It just isn't quite the same without the 'Hey' song. I also still miss the back-and-forth chants of 'Go Broncos', but it seems that more or less died with the old stadium. The Bronco Leprechaun was trying to get it going, but couldn't pull it off.

                  I'm liking this Webster kid.

I was also really happy with what I saw out of Ball, up until he put it on the ground again. No fumbling issues in college and now two in two games.

Interesting thing about some players when they get to the NFL. Moreno was healthy as can be until he hit the NFL. Ball was fine until he hit the NFL. I think it has to do with how players tackle in college vs. the NFL. How hard they hit, the technique, etc.

Kayvon Webster is a solid player. He has this real instinct, it seems, for where to be. And to be as fast as he is and still put some monstrous hits on guys, that's exciting.

I didn't like, however, how our secondary seemed to take a couple drives off and allow Pryor to complete some wide-open passes.

Webster is a lot faster than I thought he was. That guy might end up being a steal for a third rounder.

Yes he is! I really like how hard he hits. He just needs to learn to wrap up at times. But I agree, he could be a steal!

What I find most impressive, thus far, is the Broncos' ability to adjust. No matter what has happened, it seems that the Broncos come out after half time and fix the issues. After that, they demolish the opposition. That's really impressive to me.

I was pretty concerned about our defense, last game, with the way the first two quarters were looking. I thought "wow, we're going to have to win this 52-48" or something crazy. Second half, and the Eagles were flattened.

Some columnists have been talking about how much better our defense will be when Von Miller and Champ Bailey return. Miller, of course, having that blitzing pressure will be amazing. But, while I love Champ Bailey, I'm not sure he makes our defense better this year. I think DRC is doing a great job in coverage, I think he's our #1. And I just wonder if a hobbled and out of shape Champ Bailey is really better than guys like Kayvon Webster, Carter, or Harris. His experience is invaluable, and in the past I'd always take an 80% Bailey over anyone else. But these days? I dunno.

Champ essentially missed most of preseason, and has yet to really practice. He's not in game shape right now, and it doesn't sound like Champ is really sure when he's going to be ready. That means the injury isn't responding to treatment and rest like it should be. I think we might be looking at the last year of Champ Bailey, which is saddening. But at this point, the young CBs we have are gaining invaluable experience to go along with their athleticism.

Danny Trevathan was carted off the field with a knee injury at practice which obviously sucks. The backup there would be Paris Lenon.Trevathan graded out as the #1 run stopping outside linebacker in a 4-3 this year by PFF.

Update;x-rays came back negative and he's still expected to play Sunday.

It sounds like Trevathan was back in practice and it's looking like he will play Sunday. Good news. Irving and Trevathan have been pleasant surprises this year. It's nice to know they have very good depth once Miller comes back.

I agree on Bailey. I respect Champ, but I am not in any hurry to see him back in the starting lineup.

I think it may be time to get Champ and Miller back.

Losing Harris and Woodyard hurt, but that was tough to watch. Nice to see
Trevathan make a Harris-type INT at the end.

If you are going to give up 48, it's awfully nice to have a guy who can get you 51. It's amazing that in Denver's 53 years of existence prior to the last couple of weeks, they had scored 50 points only once. 52 and 51 in consecutive weeks? Crazy.
