Take it for what it is worth, but an ESPN source says we have signed Lamont Jordan.

edit: my bad, i just saw that this had already been mentioned.

--David Anderson (WR) is staying in Houston, they matched the offer from the Broncos

--JJ Arrington signs a 4 year deal worth $10M. I'm more interested in what he can bring to our return game than on actual offense.

I've always liked either defensive guys or 2nd string offensive guys playing special teams, and especially returning kicks because of stamina.

          Buckhalter
          Jordan
          Torain
          Young
          Arrington
          Hall

wonder if that'll get watered down

The interesting part is who is gonna be #1??
BUCK? I wouldn't mind that but Torrain has great potential and Hilils is way too skilled to just be a FB!

I hope its Buckhalter. Living around Philly I have gotten to watch him a lot and have always loved him. He is a little bit injury prone which we know all to well about but I would love to see him as an everydown back.

That said, Ryan Torrain looked good in his quarter and a half of football last year and Shannhan loved him so I hope he gets a good look too.

Hillis would have been a great short yardage back but it seems McD wanted to get his player Jordan in for that.

If healthy, my money's on Jordan if we're talking about the new guys. He's had success as a starter... GREAT success before getting that starter money. He just hasn't been able to stay healthy. I think it'll either be him or Torain but we're still waiting to see what Torain can really do.

                      --Patrick Ramsey visited Patriots yesterday

--Darrell Reid will not be playing the line, he'll be an OLB. I like this move, anyone remember his kickoff return hit?

                      --Jay Cutler
According to a source close to Cutler, the quarterback is not upset because McDaniels tried to trade him last week to Tampa Bay in a three-team deal that would have brought quarterback Matt Cassel to Denver. He's upset because he doesn't believe McDaniels' claim the trade proposal was initiated by other clubs.
This issue can be resolved, its not as bad as some reported.

For starting RB, I dont think we'll have 1 guy and thats it. It'll most likely end up in a rotation with Buckhalter, Jordan and Arrington. Ryan Torain would be great but he still hasn't made it through a season without hurting himself. He didnt even last a half with the Patriots. I have a hard time believing Hillis will just be limited to FB when we know he can catch, Cooley-like?

Regarding Cutler, it is a moot point who initiated the talks: a losing record as a starting QB; its time to get to work and get the job done.

As far as the backs situation: Competition is great. I love the back returning and the ones that have been signed.

Exactly on Cutler. 17-20 and he still has room for improvement. He needs to stop thinking about the trade and learn this new system. Now, would you have done the Detroit trade (1st pick, 20th pick in first round, Cassel and Patriots 3rd round pick next year)

I like the aggression McDaniels has shown during this free agency despite the age of some of them. The best part is we're not throwing a ton of money at them to play here.

As much as Cutler , I hate to use the word disgust, but in that neighborhood, me with his outward attitude, I don't know how excited I would have been to see him go. He just needs to mature a little. When the whole team begins to click with him at the helm, it will be a sight to see, I think.

I too like how a lot of these grinders are getting had for little cost. They will compete and push the bar, exactly of which this team was in desparate need. Complacency kills.

Maturity will hopefully come this offseason after this misunderstanding gets handled next week. The schedule for us this year will really test everyone. If we didn't grab any WR's during free agency, I think we'd be hurting when Marshall gets suspended.

I can't wait to see the 3-4 defense here, and hopefully we're wearing the orange jerseys for every home game this year. I'm still holding out hope for us to wear throwbacks for a game

Forgot to mention, Karl Paymah will be visiting the Ravens on Thursday. I think Paymah and Ramsey are our only free agents to get interviews?

Does Foxworth signing with Baltimore have anything to do with us getting an extra pick? Or was that if he re-signed with Atlanta?
