What I mean by that is needing help in the middle, with the exception of Raji, there isn't another 12/18 worthy down lineman, but some good ones worthy of a 2nd or 3rd, i.e. Ron Brace. There are a bevy of good ends and linebackers that could be gotten in those rounds as well.

    Just sayin...
Yeah, I'd be very pleased with Brace and a guy like Matthews, Kruger, English etc.

      Today is the day!

      I love draft day.

And no, I don't think we should trade up to get Sanchez. I hate to be Mr. Obvious here, but our main needs are on the defensive side.

        LB Core

The Baltimore Ravens have interest in a receiver and are considering moving up from the No. 26 pick to ahead of Minnesota at No. 22. As of Friday morning, the Broncos, who have the No. 18 pick, had yet to hear from the Ravens. . . . McDaniels confirmed Friday that D.J. Williams, when he fully recovers from offseason shoulder surgery, will play weakside inside linebacker. Free-agent signee Andra Davis will play at the strongside inside position. McDaniels said Jarvis Moss and Tim Crowder, the team's first- and second-round picks, respectively, in the 2007 draft, are learning to play outside linebacker.
Scheffler .. Please, please, please, please stay healthy for 16 games.
After the Philadelphia Eagles failed to execute a trade for tight end Tony Gonzalez, they called the Broncos to seek a trade for tight end Tony Scheffler.

But barring the unlikely event the Eagles surrender a first-round pick for Scheffler, the Broncos won't listen.

The Eagles offered only a third-round pick to Kansas City for Gonzalez, the all-time career leader among tight ends in nearly every receiving category. Gonzalez was instead traded to Atlanta for a second-round pick in 2010.

It might be argued Scheffler, at 26, has more trade value than Gonzalez, at 33. Scheffler will make $535,000 this year, while Gonzalez is the league's highest- paid tight end at $7 million. Scheffler led all tight ends with a 16.1-yards-per-catch average last season while Gonzalez averaged 11.0 yards per catch.

The Broncos' top priorities appear to be Boston College nose tackle B.J. Raji, LSU defensive end Tyson Jackson and Tennessee defensive end Robert Ayers, in that order.

Don't know why more people aren't questioning McDaniels. His decision making for personnel is horrible. No idea why Leach is gone...then pumping more money then needed into the RB position and now drafting Moreno and passing on Orakpo???? And getting a Tim Crowder clone in Ayers???? I am disgusted

Passing over Orakpo has rubbed me the wrong way. I dont care if San Diego was going to draft Moreno, we dont need a RB unless he plans on playing DE, ILB, OLB, Safety or corner.

Moreno better get 20 TDs or some miracle numbers to justify the pick.

20 TDs would justify the pick. But, how is that going to happen? I struggle naming all our RBs. There is no way he gets enough touches. Even if he does it would be a waste of money on Buck and Jordan then.

Brace in the 2nd would be ideal

I have no clue what McDaniels is trying to do. We have drafted one de/lb with our 3 picks so far, we need more help on the front of all things.

My prediction: McDaniels takes Pat White with the other 2nd rounder and we end up with more offensive players selected then defense by Sunday night. And...

Mike Nolan is the interim coach by week 10

I'm hoping McDaniels doesn't truly think all his free agent signings on defense will be the answer to our defensive woes.

I am in need of a hug here. I have been a McDaniels supporter but right now my faith is quavering.

Upon the announcement for Moreno, I felt like I had been kicked in the nuts. I don't know about Ayers.

Then trading a #1 for a midget corner? and then a safety? Oh yeah, I forgot, that was our main need wasn't it?

On a bright note...at least we aren't Raiders fans. They draft a safety that Mel Kiper has barely heard of.

I think the majority of Bronco Nation is confused as to what exactly McDaniels is trying to do besides randomly pick players.

I have a hard time believing that we'd have the same picks if Goodmans were still in the FO instead of Xanders who has never been in this position.

Draft day= What is McDaniels doing, passing on Orakpo?????

Trading next years first to get Alphonso Smith? Not Maualuga? We had two firsts next year, and traded one of them for this?

                              This is lame.
