Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
I always liked this guy and this is an awesome story:
Tom Brandstater: A friend indeed : First-and-Orange is the authority on the latest breaking news and analysis about the Denver Broncos, written by Troy E. Renck, Nicki Jhabvala and other Denver Post sports writers. Colorado
We should all have friends like former Broncos quarterback Tom Brandstater.
Details in the suicide of Kenny McKinley revealed the late Broncos receiver was deeply in debt at the time he took his own life on Sept. 20.
The Arapahoe County investigation report revealed Brandstater tried to help McKinley by loaning him $65,000. Even with Brandstater drawing up a contract for the loan and taking two pieces of jewelry worth a combined $36,000 as collateral, it was a generous move.Comment

And they want him in Minnesota.
I don't have any specific names I want, but I do know that I want a tough football coach. A coach who understands the importance of running the football and defending the run.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
Darrell Bevell could also interview in Minnesota and possibly here.
I've seen Jim Harbaugh's name getting thrown around, not familiar with what he's done in Stanford to say yes/no.
Gruden and Cowher usual suspects wont happen for the simple fact of money and they've always said they like the media side of the NFL now.
Kubiak is a wild card that takes alot of things to fall in place for it to happen.
Step 1) Hire a GM, FIRST.
Step 2) Find a coach with the GM.
Bowlen honestly needs to personally fly the Goodmans back in and talk them into helping the organization again. Thats if they're not working for another team, never saw an update about them.Aaron

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
I honestly haven't heard anything about it but I've been pretty busy lately so haven't gotten much info (besides sports talk radio and most of my time with that is around DC, not Baltimore). I'll try to find some local info.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
I'm interested in what Elway's role will be come this offseason, Bowlen will cut out a spot for him- regardless of what Ellis thinks.
I'd like to see Rod Smith get involved with the team also, if he's interested in some coaching.
Champ Bailey is gone after this season on his own terms so I hope he gets onto a legit contender. 95% chance he goes considering it'll be a new coach and yet another system change on defense. The Broncos should have signed him to a contract when he was still wanting to and they could have traded him for picks, but now they've got nothing to get in return to rebuild with.
