I am not only disgusted by the comment but angry as well. If you have children, you could not imagine this happening, nor make comments about it. It is hard for me to ignore someone like this. I don't know why the person has to post in this little old thread, it obvious that he isn't a Broncos fan, football fan, or a decent human being.

              Brandon Marshall's blog

To whom it may concern. Life is filled with change, and where I am in my life now change is probably best. It’s hard leaving an organization ran by one of the best owners in all of sports, and someone who’s been there for me through my ups and downs. The hardest thing was hearing Mr. B wish me luck in the future, but we both came to the conclusion that this is probably the best thing for me to grow on and off the field.

I thank the Denver fans who embraced my emotion and play on the field and showing me love every time I step outside my door.
Unless Bowlen gets great value, I fully expect Marshall to be signing over checks for not reporting. I'm not exactly sure where Marshall thinks he has all the leverage, he's a wide receiver and should take a look at where Chad Johnson has gone with his demands, no where.

Wow. Marshall sure knows how to show his respect to Mr. B the best owner in all of sports.

There has got to be something going unsaid here.

My far out there guess would be a few multiple reasons. Honestly I think he just wants a lucrative deal which Bowlen and Co. aren't ready to just sign over. He's over estimating his own "muscle" to get it done at this point. A QB is different than a WR. Whats the old saying about a QB getting traded and a WR not?

                  My thoughts
-Sees the 'big time" WR's getting paid and wants his now.
-New hefty system coming into place, doesnt have the IQ to learn all the routes and/or wont catch on as quick as others
                  -Money
-Jay Cutler, his bff is gone
-Thinks he's a big fish in a small pond and saw Cutler get his way to a place he wanted to go

Well at least with this case the Broncos have all the leverage because they have no reason to take a deal that doesn't appeal to them for awhile.

Whatever happens in the end with him, we will get a fair price in return.

I think he's worried about his stats this coming year. He definitely doesn't believe that McDaniels will get him the numbers he's been getting. The biggest thing this says to me is that he's got no faith in Orton, but also doesn't see McDaniels' run heavy system will get him the targets that has gotten him the numbers he has so far. His numbers drop, so do the dollar signs in his next contract.

He's trying to get paid now before all that happens. It's the same thing I thought Ray was doing when he was complaining about the line in front of him a few years ago. But Ray's was probably related to age bc he was starting to get injured more often. Marshall's is just showing how much he doesn't believe in his coach and QB. That would explain why it seems like the Broncos have no problem letting him go, but I don't see them asking for less than a 1st and 3rd which probably means he won't be going anywhere.

The Ravens are now looking at bidding for him. I don't know how I feel about that. He might be the best WR in the league, but they'd have to pay too much for him, considering he's probably one off the field issue away from watching games with Pacman.

They've got 8 receivers on the roster right now, 2 of which have been in the New England system, they would be ready to go at a moment's notice (Gaffney and Jackson) even though their stats don't match to what Marshall has done.

Marshall needs to show up to camp, show that his hip and hand are not an issue. Even get medical to clear it just to show that he's ready, then give him a fair contract with some sort of insurance for the organization regarding his off the field issues. If not, get value for him and let it go.

But for him to think that just because he asked for a trade doesn't mean Bowlen will just roll up into the fetal position and do what his players ask. Marshall's ego is much bigger than I thought previously

This would have come up either this offseason or next, regardless of who's the head coach and QB. Going back to his first incidents and then the McDonalds injury, people were questioning whether or not he'll get the deal he wants in comparison to say the top 5 receivers.

If he's worried about his stats, I dont think he realized the Broncos can hold onto him and if he doesnt want to play then that wont look too pretty for his stat line.

I had 4 hours of sleep, been up since 4am, I have no patience today.

When I think of this situation regarding Marshall, I think of Rod Smith. Rod Smith was the model of class and how it suppose to be done. There is something about class, and that is something that is missing with Mr. Marshall.

I will say the same thing as I did with the previous debacle, let him go. Trade him,, get him out of town and just like the other player, he will quickly find how great Denver actually is.

Eddie Royal luckil fits the Rod Smith mold. Shows up, never talks and does his work without seeking praise.

Marshall can't say he's had no one in his corner because Rod Smith has said it plenty of times that he makes contact with the guys atleast a few times a week. His ego has gotten the better of him, more and more it just seems like he doesnt get "it". I definitely have grown tired of him saying he's become a better man (after most of his incidents). You don't say it, you become it without having to say it.. that might just be me but thats how I see it.
