Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
I am not only disgusted by the comment but angry as well. If you have children, you could not imagine this happening, nor make comments about it. It is hard for me to ignore someone like this. I don't know why the person has to post in this little old thread, it obvious that he isn't a Broncos fan, football fan, or a decent human being.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
Brandon Marshall's blog
To whom it may concern. Life is filled with change, and where I am in my life now change is probably best. It’s hard leaving an organization ran by one of the best owners in all of sports, and someone who’s been there for me through my ups and downs. The hardest thing was hearing Mr. B wish me luck in the future, but we both came to the conclusion that this is probably the best thing for me to grow on and off the field.
I thank the Denver fans who embraced my emotion and play on the field and showing me love every time I step outside my door.Last edited by av7; 06-16-2009, 06:27 PM.Aaron

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
My thoughts
-Sees the 'big time" WR's getting paid and wants his now.
-New hefty system coming into place, doesnt have the IQ to learn all the routes and/or wont catch on as quick as others
-Money
-Jay Cutler, his bff is gone
-Thinks he's a big fish in a small pond and saw Cutler get his way to a place he wanted to goAaron

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
He's trying to get paid now before all that happens. It's the same thing I thought Ray was doing when he was complaining about the line in front of him a few years ago. But Ray's was probably related to age bc he was starting to get injured more often. Marshall's is just showing how much he doesn't believe in his coach and QB. That would explain why it seems like the Broncos have no problem letting him go, but I don't see them asking for less than a 1st and 3rd which probably means he won't be going anywhere.
The Ravens are now looking at bidding for him. I don't know how I feel about that. He might be the best WR in the league, but they'd have to pay too much for him, considering he's probably one off the field issue away from watching games with Pacman.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
Marshall needs to show up to camp, show that his hip and hand are not an issue. Even get medical to clear it just to show that he's ready, then give him a fair contract with some sort of insurance for the organization regarding his off the field issues. If not, get value for him and let it go.
But for him to think that just because he asked for a trade doesn't mean Bowlen will just roll up into the fetal position and do what his players ask. Marshall's ego is much bigger than I thought previouslyAaron

If he's worried about his stats, I dont think he realized the Broncos can hold onto him and if he doesnt want to play then that wont look too pretty for his stat line.
I had 4 hours of sleep, been up since 4am, I have no patience today.Last edited by av7; 06-16-2009, 07:38 PM.Aaron

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
When I think of this situation regarding Marshall, I think of Rod Smith. Rod Smith was the model of class and how it suppose to be done. There is something about class, and that is something that is missing with Mr. Marshall.
I will say the same thing as I did with the previous debacle, let him go. Trade him,, get him out of town and just like the other player, he will quickly find how great Denver actually is.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
Marshall can't say he's had no one in his corner because Rod Smith has said it plenty of times that he makes contact with the guys atleast a few times a week. His ego has gotten the better of him, more and more it just seems like he doesnt get "it". I definitely have grown tired of him saying he's become a better man (after most of his incidents). You don't say it, you become it without having to say it.. that might just be me but thats how I see it.Aaron
