Dumervil is done for the season, not really shocked by that.

Lendale White tore his ACL when his leg snapped over the Viking, out for the season.

Alphonso Smith is on the trade block, hopefully someone is willing to give up an RB prospect for him.

Going to the game in Jax this Sunday. It's always interesting playing here, last time we smoked them and I thought it would be close, the time before we fumble in FG range and should have smoked them.

This game is definitely not a suicide pick imo.

Wonder if Redskins will trade Orakpo for Ayers, straight up

The positive for today, the team stayed competitive with (imo) a team that is a bit ahead of the Broncos. I expected MJD to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted to and the guys were up to the challenge for the most part.

Secondary, such a drastic change from what we saw with the 1st quarters in preseason to today. I hate when the team goes up against Garrard, he seems to always have a play. I'm still shocked at how subpar the secondary played today, that should have been the team's strength on defense.

Moreno had some nice plays, loved the highstep play to get out of a tackle.

I dont understand the timing of putting Tebow in the game when they moved the ball well 2 times and then to completely kill the momentum with a special package. I know its to get the defense off balance and a different look but theres plenty of other opportunities for that to happen, 3 plays in isn't it (imo)

Thats all I can think of right now, been up since 4 so I'm tired.

To me the most disappointing aspect was the kickoff coverage. It looked pretty bad.

I suppose its a bad thing that I'm used to the Broncos starting at the 20 and the other team starting at the 35 or 40 after every kickoff, almost like its expected.

I like the addition of Maroney.

Seattle is in interesting prospect, this will be a big test for us and if we can avoid starting 0-2 here (first time in a while right?) then we have done well. Seattle's defense is impressive if not surprising.

We have won our last 10 home openers, I don't think we will end that streak this week. Moreno will improve on last week's solid effort (not bad for missing the pre-season) and I think the passing game will too (come on Kyle).

A good win over Seattle, Orton looked good against a week one defense that was pretty darn good. Moreno, a guy I have massive hopes for this, struggled a little. He will improve. From memory it's only his second game this season as he missed the pre-season.

                        Nice job all in all.

                        Where the Broncos fans at?

Bailey may miss the Colts game, luckily the Broncos have Cox and Thompson to fill in. Still wont stop the beating that Manning will hand down.

Special teams really needs to limit big returns.

Decker was no where to be found today, atleast Thomas had his good debut on his limited time with the offense. He may take catches away from Gaffney now if he continues to set up like he was doing today- very basketball'ish like he was setting up a post, showing Orton his numbers.

Defense still has issues with going for the big knockout hit on a runner instead of wrapping up, letting the runner get another 5+ yards. Turnovers are nice to see, hopefully that continues so the offense can start with better field position than they have for the past few years.

The running game really, really, really, really needs the long gain threat. All the good teams seem to have that capability but the Broncos rushing seems to top out at 20 yard gains. Moreno had 2 runs that went over 20 yards, Buckhalter had 4. Neither have a 20+yard run this season yet.

Special teams, and more significantly kick coverage looked significantly better yesterday.

As I mentioned a few times in the game thread, I love Thomas but I don't expect to see him ignored by the defenses as he was today for too long. I'm still excited for him, he has potential.

The defensive front seven really has some issues. They really had problems yesterday getting any pressure at all. Wink tried anything he could do to mix up their looks and they still struggled to get anything...

With or without Champ next week if you can't get pressure, you will not stop Peyton.

I still think that was the hardest I have ever seen Moreno run but I agree with you, you just never have the feeling he can break one.

I forgot Cox's stupid idea to take the ball out of the endzone on a kickoff that was about 5 yards deep... What was he thinking?

Kenny McKinley apparently committed suicide today, wow.

                                http://www.kdvr.com/news/kdvr-bronco...,3972716.story
DENVER - Denver Broncos wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead from an apparent suicide, sources tell FOX31 News.

The body of McKinley, 23, was found in Arapahoe County. No further details were immediately available.

FOX31's Josina Anderson was the first to report the news.

McKinley had struggled to stay healthy during his two years with the Broncos. Limited to kick returns, he was placed on injury reserve with a knee injury in 2009. He was also placed on injury reserve prior to the start of the 2010 regular season.

McKinley was a standout wide receiver at South Carolina and climbed into the SEC record books with 207 receptions, the third-most in conference history, according to NFL.com. He also became just the 12th player in league history collect more than 2,700 receiving yards.

McKinley is the third Broncos player to die a sudden death in the past four years. On New Year's Day 2007, cornerback Darrent Williams, 24, was killed in drive-by shooting in downtown Denver. In Feb. 2007, running back Damien Nash, also 24, collapsed and died during a charity basketball game.
