HUGE FRANCHISE MODE GLITCH- Winning Rookie of the Year Calder TWICE

Ever since the new update, if you are using a custom roster and have edited a first, second or even third year player (i.e. Matthews, Nylander, Domi) the computer automatically thinks they are first year rookies. Discovered this simming to end of maple leafs first year only to discover Auston Matthews had won Rookie of the Year twice in a row. RIDICULOUS. Someone contact EA. HAPPENS EVERY TIME.

Caused by what I outlined in my post above.

I just spent the last 2 hours creating a team in the main create a team tab. Now when I try to start a 32 team franchise and select my previously created team, the game crashes. Anyone experienced this? I'm pretty close to turning my disc into a coaster.

I've been playing around with he editing player turns them into a rookie bug, and it seems you can edit some players, while others you can't. It seems to be age related.

If you edit any player 25 or under they will become classified as a rookie. For some reason you can edit any player 26 or older without them becoming a rookie.

So I think I got the Created Player thing done to almost 75% success rate.. On both PS4 and XB1 for Franchise and Expansion Drafts.

Works best with these hints:

No contracts for players. Zero them out. Just add nothing
Or turn off salary cap completely. The hang up is the cap I guess. Every damn crash so far I had was trying it with the Cap.

I got about four of fifteen Franchise starts to work with Caps on and created players in. Just a hassle. EA has been 0 help... As always.

Hope that helps anyone like me that likes to add players and had the crashes I had. I lost at least ten years of my life and one controller smashed!!! LOL

Before you end the games life. Try to turn off the cap. It should work like a charm!! Sucks but trial and error and error. I found it out!!

I think it's the cap. Turn off the cap. Crashes stop. Or at least it is less likely. Hope it helps.

You're doing God's work my friend. I had filled my roster with European players. So after replacing them with FA on the NHL side all was good.

So odd bug here:

I don't get to see any NBC intros anymore. After you hit start game, game loads, as soon as the NBC intro would normally play, it goes to the screen that you select which team you want to play as (move the controller to that team). Select team and then it goes straight to the opening faceoff.

This has been an issue in the past.

Fix to this is to close out the game and reload the game from the dash board.

Where did you pick the players from when making you're team? I originally selected players from a European league causing my crashes. Replaced them with nhl free agents and it worked fine.

I read your first message first. I will make the change tomorrow. When you put the team in the league does it still bring you to the expansion draft? Just wondering if it matters what players i add.
