3 menu problems with Franchise Mode...

1) In the "Franchise Mode" menu...is the text that says "Franchise Mode" on the top-left is cut off. So only the bottom half of the text shows. I checked my settings in both the game and PS4, and the screen is set correctly. So this must be some weird design decision.

2) In the "Franchise Mode" menu...switching between NHL & AHL is brutally slow. You'll hit the switch, and then it keeps showing the previous league menu for at least 10 seconds. This did not happen in NHL 17, it's a curious problem with 18.

3) In the "Franchise Mode" game...if your controller was turned off in the Franchise Mode menu (example: auto turned off for power saving), and then you re-activate it and begin a game...it skips all the game introductions (stadium shot, commentator game preview, player practice skate, etc.). Instead, it cuts to the face-off and displays the "Select Side" menu. This happens even though you've selected your side before the game started.

I have given up hope that EA will fix the shooting bug. Executing one -timers while playing with the "down" view are near impossible. Unfortunately EA seems more concerned with Mascots then fixing a real problem.

I just got called for cross-checking while my player was without a stick. Not even mad, just laughing so hard. EA pls, I expect this to happen if I'm playing World Cup mode, not in NHL playoffs in my franchise.

The game crashes every single time I try to go to create a player mode. When I got this game, first thing was I created a few players who seemed to be missing out so I could see them in my Franchise mode. Soon I found out some of them actually are there so I got duplicates of a few players. I couldnt find the ones who were in default roster so I could edit them and keep my own created, so I tried to go and delete the players I just created. Oh but the f****n game crashes and I can't do this.

I'm sorry for double post but I got another major problem with franchise mode.

So I started the franchise mode with Carolina Hurricanes. I decided not to spend much money during off season. Just like they did in real life, I signed Justin Williams. In addition, I signed C Oscar Lindberg and D Patrick Wiericoch. I didn't really need another dman but that was the way get over the cap floor, plus I thought I could use one of my high potential dmen for a trade.

Ok, here comes the preseason. I go to roster moves and so I could call up some prospects. Well, my roster is full so I can't call up anyone. So I try to send someone down. There's a problem, too. My team would go under the salary floor so I can't do that. Seriously... WTF?! Why in the heck should I be under cap circumstances during pre season?! What makes it even worse, all three scratched players are defencemen, so I can't rotate a single forward through pre season games. Last NHL game before this was NHL 15 (old gen), and at least I could swap players between big league and minors. Apparently, that's not possible anymore, either. Not to mention that you could play preseason below salary floor...

(OT: Uh, I mean, I didn't expect much from this game... I had read all the bad experiences since september. But I decided to give it a try and buy it for a reduced price. So far it's looking like a huge mistake.)

Same here i had dublicates too is it a bug in franchise mode cause i love creating prospects who play in college in the states or in russia it really ruins franchise mode for me

Hello just a quick question bout the Roster Updares. May seem stupid but I have taken considerable time updating rosters and creating guys myself. I just wanted to be 100% sure before I download roster update. If I do this will my entire league go out of whack to EAs downloaded roster or will they merge? Like will I lose everything I’ve done is basically what I want to know or will it just adjust the guys EA has edited or added.

also I’ve noticed a bad duplicate player glitch coming in and out of franchise mode to check things. For some reason created players are being duplicated and are in free agency too. Honestly I’m pretty fed up. Ridiculous that EA didn’t catch these bugs in testing. I loved NHL 14 and Legacy and was looking forward to the new challenges in next gen but this is a disgrace that these issues weren’t caught. Even bigger disgrace that they have yet to be fixed.

Have they said anything about a patch?

I did not read any of the comments previous to this and dont know if this was mentioned but there is a freezing issue when in Franchise mode. If you enter the calendar then exit then enter quickly before the home menus load the game freezes in the calendar...

Try clicking right stick to "open franchise overview".
Select anything that pulls you away from the calendar.
ie: "Go to set ticket prices"
Back out by pressing B on Xbox or Circle on PS4.

Worked for me and hasn't done it since.

I'm assuming you're talking about Franchise mode...
From my experience, the roster updates have zero affect on the franchise roster.

However, the tweaks such as unsigned players development may be added.
I haven't noticed a difference yet, but I'm not far enough in my pre-update franchise.

I started Be a Pro career and went first overall and played only two games and i am already losing hair and My hair Are all gray with 18 years old😂

I just bought NHL 18 and a PS4. Can't understand why in a game where analyzing stats and menus, that they would decrease the size of the text. Coming from NHL Legacy the text is half the size requiring me to be twice as close to the 30" screen I use. The menus are plain boring white, and I can no longer see who leads my team in goals, assists, plus/minus during the simulation. Very frustrated with what seems like a beta version. Returning NHL 18 and maybe the PS4 unless there is a previous version that I like (nhl15 ps4 was good, maybe 16 or 17 is good)
