Stutzle has generic face. I bet there is no new faces, if EA has trouble to scan faces during pandemic and they dosent any skills to create faces without scans.

The pandemic shouldn't come into play, they have many legends that have a great player likeness and some have passed away.

Oh, thats true. I forgot that, because i dont play HUT.

So it could be possible to make many new faces, but it hasnt been that way for current roster players for many years.

Imagine if we had roster share and a game face program that does exist. You would have almost a full league of real looking faces. Can only dream.

That’s not true. They don’t need their face scan machine. A good artist designer can create a likeness from a photo. I have read this in an Interview from W. Ho of EA NHL. Or do you think they haD a chance to scan Lafreniere during this pandemic ? He was never scanned before with this machine. I have the list from the scanned Players during the last years. EA NHL is the weakest Sport Game in adding likenesses or Player photos.

Same Stanley Cup celebration in NHL 22 and detected also no new likenesses at the Ottawa Team. Even Chabot and many other Players with the same terrible generic faces as the years before.

Check out the Sports Gamers Online article about NHL 22 player likenesses. It states that 90% of Canadian teams and 60% of players league wide would have scanned faces in NHL 22. EA is even marketing it “real players, real faces”.

Check out the Sports Gamers Online article about NHL 22 player likenesses. It states that 90% of Canadian teams and 60% of players league wide would have scanned faces in NHL 22. EA is even marketing it “real players, real faces”.

What they announced is that they have reworked about 100 old Superstar existing faces to get a better looking. That’s what I have read somewhere or maybe saw it in one of their advertisement Videos.

I believe I saw Pesce and Orlov (if you really squint) in the gameplay trailer. Those are probably part of the 10-20 new uploads we get per year. Would be nice if that number was in the 100s.

That’s not true. Before NHL 21 they added each year 30 Player faces or bit more. Only in NHL 21 lesser. Go to the first page and count the retired Players or which moved to other Leagues. You will maybe count more than 30 Players. All current face scanned Players listed at the first page.

It would be absolutely joke if not all X-Factor Superstars have real faces.

On beta it was humour when those CHEL teams had players with zero real faces, they were bottom line players. It really dosent get our hopes up, when there is so little facts about new faces.

I think also it was some Facebook video where EA showed Stanley Cup celebreation, i think there was also lot of generic faces. Alltough i needed to check that video again more closely.
