When you create a player, how do you do it to NOT choose a play by play name? Does anyone know?

I think its a basic component that should be included. This game is so behind the curve.

It's like on PS2/XBOX we'd say, "can't you just put a bunch of names in the game so that when we make a player with that name it uses it?"


So then they give you names but... they FORCE you to pick one. Just bonkers.

Yeah... The NHL2K games was ok in create a player with this but when editing an existing one it was pretty f:ed up aswell since you could not remove the profile image and the old call name was still there ingame.


Seems like this is an issue with many games, the WWE games had problems with the call names for many years aswell. I've stopped playing them so don't know how it is handled today.


But the simple solution should be firstname lastname separately and then the ability to set "none" on both. Why should it be harder?
