Where do you see that option. Once you change sliders that changes

You can also change it in settings before a game. It might go to custom once you mess with the actual sliders.Last edited by MizzouRah; 10-26-2020, 12:27 PM.Comment

From further testing, it appears that this is a symptom of the dreaded "speed glitch" or "bezerk mode" whatever you want to call it that EA claims doesn't exist when using sliders offline.
If I reboot the game from a hard restart (Xbox) which usually alleviates the "speed glitch" then the NZ pressure returns. I played some great games post patch, but also experienced some awful ones that I could tell a minute in and just shut it off.
If you use default sliders, you probably won't notice this nearly as much as other who drastically change sliders as our gameplay is so fundamentally different from the default sliders.
TL;DR: NZ pressure isn't broke when the game is playing properly.Join the EVHL!

Re: NHL 21 Has Been Released - Share Your Impressions with the Community
This is my first NHL in several years. How can I get franchise mode to start with the correct roster for the Maple Leafs? I added Thornton and the two RFAs they just signed are on the roster (Mikheyev and Dermott) but when I start franchise I only have five defensemen, Spezza is 3rd pair D, and Dermott and Mikheyev have disappeared and I have to sign both and are asking for a lot more than they just signed for. This is really frustrating.Comment

CPU vs CPU default full sim settings, All-Star:
Baie-Comeau Drakkar @ Tampa Bay Lightning 2-6
Tampa was leading by 2 until the end of the 3rd period, where they got a 5 on 3 powerplay and managed to score twice. So, the match was again way too close.
You can definately see that the play of BAC players is much more sloppy, but how on earth that doesn't show enough on scoreboard? And there was literally no neutral zone pressure at all. I'm on XBOX, but I believe that the game should be identical on both platforms? I just don't get it how some people are seeing nz pressure in the game when I can't see it on local games or in the Youtube videos? I have almost no time left on my trial, but seeing how the nz pressure is somehow gone and the player attributes doesn't have noticeable enough impact on the gameplay or scores, I don't see enough improvement in the game to justify the purchase. Could someone of the guys who claim to see nz pressure in the game post some video of that as I find it impossible to believe that this is nothing but you guys willing to see it. It might be a totally different case if you are controlling a team, I don't know, but as I'm a pure GM type player, that's not for me.Comment

Hi mikey87. I have read too many times now your comment you say there's no NZ pressure in the game at all. So I have to give my five cents for this thread. I am not interested to "play" CPU vs CPU matches like you, instead of that, I like to take control a team and play myself, and I definetely see and feel a lot of NZ pressure in NHL 21. I have played ice hockey games from late 80s, the first one was called FACE OFF (I guess it was published same year when you were just born.)
I even see a lot of player differentation in the game, partly because I have started to make my custom rosters (overall ratings vary between 55-95), and partly because I use my custom sliders with my special rosters (Superstar, player differentation maxed).
I enjoy NHL 21 a lot and highly recommend it if you are offline player.Comment

But you don't have to take my word for this, just "sim" a couple of games like I did and see for yourself. You will also notice that while there are some noticeable differences between players, the games will be very close, meaning that the attributes don't affect the scores or what will be happening in the rink.
Oh, and my nickname is not about my birthyear. My first hockey game was NHL 94 on PC.Comment

I don't agree with you. The slider doesn't differentiate players magically, it effects how much player attributes play role when the game calculates what will happen in game situations. So maxing the slider gives more space to player attributes in the formula which calculates your player success in different in-game situations. Yeah, I have tested the slider in game and my settings are based on analyzing what I see and feel. I have a copy of a game myself and I guess you haven't because your opinions are heavily based on some CPU vs CPU videos in youtube. I have no interest just watch random CPU vs CPU gaming if I have a copy.Comment

And the effect of that slider has been cleared by an EA representative, so I'll value that explanation a little more than some random board guys's who seems to have an attitude issue anyway.Comment
