Make a bigger deal when someone breaks a record or it’s their first game, goal, point, hat trick, shut out. Show a cut scene of them with the puck in the locker room after the game.
Activity feed should look more like a social media post. Confirmed traded,
Trade rumors, Player signings, Contract extension, Players going on IR or LTIR, Players on waivers or claimed, callups and send downs, Players asking to be traded
AHL only contracts
Option to send players to Europe, Juniors, AHL or ECHL

Staff should have real staff with reasonable contracts to resign. Head Coach,
Associate Coach, two Assistant Coaches, Goalie Coaches, Skills Coaches, Video Coaches, Medical Staff. With practices

Conversations – Players can request trades, let you know they are retiring after the season, let them know they are going back to juniors, ahl or Europe.
If a player knows they are retiring there should be something their last game at home if they have a certain amount of years for that team. Waving to the crowd and stick tapes.
Players that were staples on teams and traded at the end of their career to win a Stanley Cup stand up and acknowledge the crowd.
Referees make mistakes like missed calls, offsides, goals, goalie interference.
Trading Block AI needs to be fixed

Draft should have players walking across the stage and lottery not predetermined before season.

The AI logic needs to be worked on with this
New introduction like a scout watching you at your school championship game to join a league and you work your way to be an NHL draft pick. Which ever league you choose you go through their draft or you can pick also.
The locker rooms should be different for each team you play for.
You have practice drills to help with building up skills and training camp

NHL draft should have you sitting in the location and you walk down to the stage and get your team pic. You walk off stage and get your face scanned into the NHL game.
GM tells you the plan for you unless you meet expectations go back to juniors or back to Europe or college.
At the end of your season GM can say see you at training camp or sign you now and finish the season with the AHL or NHL.
If you don’t like the team you got drafted by and don’t sign your entry level contract you become a free agent and teams interest approach you.
You can request trades
You can retire after the season or you can let the GM know this is your last year. With letting the GM know early and you’ve been on the team for years your last home game you are saluted at the beginning of the game. If you never won a cup and want to go to a cup contender at the trade deadline the GM is more willing to move you.
