I recommend using Max Afinogenov's (#6) for Tyler Ennis, Ales Kotalik's (#466) for Mark Giordano, and Julien Sprunger's (#5507) for John Carlson

Kotalik for Giordano might work, but Giordano's default face is probably equally as close. Afinogenov looks reasonably similar to Ennis, but I don't think his cyber looks right for Ennis. It's really tan. Ditto Sprunger. I don't think he really looks like Carlson either, but his face is too tan in the game. That's the problem with using those faces above for current players. The only way to see if it works is to test it, which is time consuming. If I could readily view all of those cybers without having to load up the game and look at each face it would be a lot more plausible.

Although there could be more, the only guy's cyber I'd say definitely fits a current player is Chris Clark's on Brooks Laich.

It's gratifying to hear that. You lucked out, getting my actual file, because I've done a lot of tinkering and re-assigning faces that I've yet to include on the list in this thread, so you've got the "best yet" version. You also got a bunch of guys that I assigned the Bauer 4500 helmet to, which isn't actually "in" the game, so you're lucky there as well.

Don't try editing the helmet for: Dubinsky, Seabrook, Gudbranson, G. Campbell, Winnik, Getzlaf, Klesla, O. Jokinen, Scuderi, Morrow, Stewart, Bouwmeester, Bjugstad, Matthias, Asham, Stoner, O'Reilly or you'll lose the 4500, which is what they all currently wear in the NHL. I was only able to do these guys because they don't wear visors. For some reason, you can't get the 4500 to work with a visor.I'm sure I might have left one or two of the guys I did off of that list, but if you load a player and notice they're wearing the 4500, don't go into the helmet selection screen, or you will lose it.

Is it possible to add the visor in-game?

Nope, the option to add a visor is greyed out in game with the 4500.

Andreas Lila -> Jason Garrison
Fredrik Sjostrom -> Lars Eller and/or Alex Chiasson
Chris Clark -> Brooks Laich

There's a French Canadian player that can probably pull off Julien Sprunger but it's not coming to me right now... I'll post it if I remember.

Rolston can also work for a much older Zajac. It'll look too distinct now though.

I don't look at it as "Brian Rolston" or "Steve Yzerman", I look at it as hair color,facial hair and skin tone. Most of these players are a much closer match to players in the game than the generic faces.
I mean you put a visor on Jari Kurri or Sergei Fedorov it just looks like a newly discovered generic face to me.......

And like I said previously, goalie faces are real good to use for this, since they are usually behind a mask. I put Kiprosoff on a player and you really couldn't tell it was him once the helmet and visor was on.....

I wish we could see pictures of all of those faces so that I could determine whether or not to apply them for other players. I know, mostly, what all of them look like, but what their actual cyber looks like is a different story. Jason Smith could be great for Jason Garrison, for example, depending on how the cyber looks.

Hiya all.
Just got the NHLView up and running, so bursting with excitement!

Just one little note:
I have been tinkering mainly trying to get better likeness of the players: maybe in groups of 5 at a time.
Once I finish, I enjoy looking at the NHL14 Edit Player function on the Xbox, pleased that I have made a "comedy player" look slightly more realistic.
I edited Jason Pominville, using a more realistic player model (#13034) however, everytime I examined him in the "NHL14 Edit Player" the players did not appear, and the console froze.
Reset, re-booted, went through a dozen of players, but again as soon as I get to "Pom"- again, the player is invisible (all the background is there) and the game/console locks up
I reloaded via NHLview and returned "Pom" back to his previous EA version, and he is "viewable"

In case anyone's interested, heres the players I have re-edited to look more like their NHL likeness, with some eye adjustments (some are good, some are "so,so", but way better than "what came out of the box)
Always very keen to hear from other members who may have better ideas.

I would say maybe use PK Subban's face (983) to the rest of Subban's brothers (Malcolm and Jordan) and a cousin (Marselis of Saginaw) as they all look very similar.
