So Rammer confirmed in an interview with Puck Daddy, there is a new Cup celebration cut scene. However, it doesn't sound like it will be interactive. They're still tweaking it.

Re: Stanley Cup Celebration
If they are going to devote time to this, then why not make it completely user controlled with no time limit? Don't just make a new cut scene. It will become repetitive and I will probably skip it after the 2nd time I see it.NHL REVAMPED ROSTERS - CO-CREATORComment

Re: Stanley Cup Celebration
because there are more important things to work on then making some interactive cup celebration that is pointless and still get repetitive over time anywayComment

Re: Stanley Cup Celebration
Well it doesn't seem like they are working on these more important things, so they should work on something.NHL REVAMPED ROSTERS - CO-CREATORComment

Re: Stanley Cup Celebration
Not sure that's the best use of resources, but if you wanted to add some user fun to the SC celebration, that's one way you could do it.
Adding something like this could enhance EASHL too come playoff time...Pine for the pork of the porcupineComment

I've always wanted an interactive Cup celebration. I'm still holding out some hope that it might be in.Comment

Re: Stanley Cup Celebration
even if they had an interactive celebration i wouldn't probably do it once... i want to play games and manage my team not go through some lame celebration that even if interactive will still get boring for people after doing it a couple timesComment

Re: Stanley Cup Celebration
Here is what I find hilarious about the whole it would make the game better because of "immersion blah blah"
Let's say they end up making the best celebration ever. Interactive, the whole 9 yards. There you are, pressing x to kiss the cup, triangle to hoist it in the air. You feel so awesome (I personally don't know why). You're thinking to yourself "This is the greatest thing ever!" Then all of a sudden the celebration is coming to an end...what happens?
YOU GET SENT TO A FREAKING MENU SCREEN. THE ENTIRE IMMERSION FACTOR DISAPPEARS BECAUSE THIS IS A VIDEO GAME AND NOW YOU HAVE TO GO EXIT THE GAME AND START YOUR OFFSEASON, BECAUSE YOU ARE PLAYING A VIDEO GAME.
This is the problem with those of you who want to complain about the cup celebration. You will never be satisfied. Yea, you might be amped for 3 minutes as the celebration goes on. It will be awesome...for 3 minutes...then you go to a menu screen and remember you are playing a video game and have 24 more seasons to go through. All immersion and some feeling of accomplishment that you may have at the time will wash away in the next 5 minutes because you are playing a game.
So I ask you. Do you really want them to use the man hours to tweak the cup celebration so you can enjoy yourself for 8 minutes or would you rather them use the man hours to tweak the gameplay itself so that you can enjoy yourself for hours on end?
I choose the latterComment

And when a game ends, you still exit out to a menu. If you don't want to exit out to a menu then go grab a stick, try out for a pro team, and go hoist the real cup yourself. Personally, I'm comfortable with the video game.NHL REVAMPED ROSTERS - CO-CREATORComment

And after long play-offs I woud like to lean back for 3 minutes and enjoy the show. And not suddenly watch this **** as it currently is.She asked me to tell her the three words every girl wants to hear, so I whispered "Go Avs Go" in her ear.Comment
