    Same thing.

Great analogy...but not applicable to minors...LOL.

That argument always kills me. People seem to assume that because it is two separate teams that what they are working on individually and what the overall plan is for the series has no effect on the other. If you want them to spend more time and money on the cup celebration it is going to take away time and money from gameplay, regardless of if they are two separate teams or not.

Were a celebration clip from a video game and sleeping with a super model really just put on the same level?

If you view a video game celebration and sleeping with a gorgeous woman as interchangeable I think you need to reevaluate your life choices.

You obviously missed the point. You play the game for enjoyment. My point is would you rather enjoy the 3 minutes of a celebration or the x amount of hours of gameplay it took for you to get to there more?

And when a game ends, you still exit out to a menu. If you don't want to exit out to a menu then go grab a stick, try out for a pro team, and go hoist the real cup yourself. Personally, I'm comfortable with the video game.
I'm unsure of if this is for or against my post. On one hand the beginning of the posts tone sounds like it is against. On the other the second paragraph is my point exactly.

You are playing a video game and it will NEVER be able to compare to the excitement of actually winning a Stanley Cup no matter how much you want it to. They can tweak the cup celebration all they want but in a year or two everyone will find it stale again. The fact of the matter is you are playing a video game and the excitement a player or even a fan feels after their team wins the cup will never, ever, be able to translate to a video game like everyone wants it to

Jesus, it was a joke. (The model analogy)

        Stop over analyzing everything.

As for the celebration, would you be happy with great gameplay but the words "you won the cup" only at the end? Because I'd be disappointed.

        Different strokes I guess.

True: time and money are finite. But I highly doubt they hired extra developers to work on the Stanley Cup celebration, so they're not really using extra budget for it. And I would also imagine they aren't pulling developers from the gameplay staff to help either.

You obviously missed the point. You play the game for enjoyment. My point is would you rather enjoy the 3 minutes of a celebration or the x amount of hours of gameplay it took for you to get to there more?
This makes it sound like it's an either/or argument. Just because they're working on a new celebration doesn't mean gameplay is untouched. Why can't we have both?

You are playing a video game and it will NEVER be able to compare to the excitement of actually winning a Stanley Cup no matter how much you want it to. By that logic, I can make this statement: You are playing a video game and it will NEVER be able to compare to going to a hockey rink and actually playing hockey. The feeling a player or a fan feels after winning a game or even scoring a goal will never be able translate to a video game either. So why even have a video game at all if that's how you look at it?
