Now after the arenas, EA is giving the the ranks of different players in terms of their positions. Great! How does it work in gameplay? 'Coz if these are only numbers and the players play the same (ex. 70+ rating and 90+ rating) or if these players has no resemblance at all in their gamestyle...its useless.

The pessimist in me is expecting more of the same. I'm almost more interested in seeing the bottom 5 players in each position to see if they're still rated stupidly high.

On topic: I don't think there's even been any news about a Madden demo so far this year from EA, and that game releases in just over 2 weeks. I don't know if this means that they're not releasing early demos (i.e. 2 weeks before release) this year or if they're just not hyping them like usual for some strange reason.

I feel like the EA ufc demo came out 2 weeks before the game released, so I'd guess this coming Tuesday we'll see the madden demo.

That would mean the NHL15 demo is out on August 26th if my math is correct which I highly doubt will happen.

Is there a chance for the demo to come out the day after of August 27th, or maybe like a Friday before?

I don't think EA will be too worried about releasing a demo for a hockey game just because of madden release date. A demo gets you an hour of playtime, generally so it shouldn't have any effect on madden.

honestly, i dont understand why EA is not releasing any demo. Is it because with X1 you could play the game 5 days in advance (but not the whole thing)?

I personally believe this has something to do with the decision to not release the Madden demo. However, until I hear confirmation for NHL, I will hold out hope. I would think they would want to release a demo for NHL as it's the first one on the Next Gen systems.

I think the program is launching with Madden, so that would be my theory on their decision. I feel like they still could've released a demo, even if it were a smaller sample size than usual (i.e. 2 min quarters instead of the 5 min ones that have been in the past couple demos if I'm not mistaken).

The timing behind would indicate that it's a way for EA to push their Access service, and make that the only means for playing their games early (even demo versions). Hopefully that's a stretch, but if not, it could very well carry over to all of EA's games. I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case and we don't see an NHL demo this year.

I'm know it had been announced that there would be one, but EA Access is recent news, and could very well change everything.
