I'd still be playing 2k10, but it just quit working on 2 separate PS3's. It was so weird, couldn't get past the loading screen for the main menu, just froze there. Like I said it did this on both of my PS3s. So disappointed bc I can't stand any of EAs hockey games.Currently playing:
MLB 21 The Show
College Hoops 2K8
Pro Evolution Soccer 2018
NHL 19
NCAA Football 14/11
NBA 2K16
Madden 20Comment

2k8 is my favorite. This game was so close to being a grand slam. But I think 2k panicked when the reviews werent as positive as they hoped. I really like 2K10 as well. This game will kick your *** if you don t play properly. Finally I really like 2k9. This game was dismissed outright by everyone. But the AI is fun to play against.Gaming hard since 1988
I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.Comment

There is a noticeable difference between playing it on PS3 and emulated though.https://discord.gg/BeCHnu86 Project 20s 2K10 MODComment

Be interested to see your RPCS3 settings are. I am running an i7 7700K, 16gb ram and GTX 1080ti. Most of the time it runs like a dream really well but certain ice rinks and teams seem to cause compiling shader delays. I think its to do with the fact the game engine is animation heavy. Get 55 to 75 fps stable easily. I can live with it only 10% of time its a bit jerky/glitchy.

Considering how the 2K11 version runs when at incorrect fps I suspect there could be game engine things depending on a set fps. This is just a theory though so I might be wrong.Last edited by nikethebike; 03-29-2021, 05:56 AM.Now go play NHL Two K!

Re: In 2016 - What´s your favourite 2K game and why ???
The game does run well enough in RPCS3, I can run it in the current version pretty smoothly even at 4k, in side view (up until very recently tended to stutter in the neutral zone) and with most cutscenes at 30 or 60 fps, though sometimes it dips down to 15-20 depending on the angle and what's going on.
That said, 2k7 and 2k8 also play really nicely, but unless you lock the game at 30fps, resulting in less smooth gameplay, the cutscenes will run at double speed.
2k9 plays really nicely in emulation.
Xenia is also an option, but less reliable, with a few more issues, can only render at 1440p max, and 2k sports games seem to have issues saving.Comment

For me it's NHL 2K8 for a lot of reasons, but the biggest one for me is the goaltending. 2K8's goalie engine was just ahead of its time. I wish Kush Games would've gotten another crack at it, even if it was just one more instead of the sad sack we got with NHL 2K9.Comment

My fav was one where in franchise you could test out new rookies before you drafted them and properly scout and then play with the draftees and I can’t for the life of me remember which game it was, if anyone knows please let me know. That game has a lot of sentimental value to me.Comment

Re: In 2016 - What´s your favourite 2K game and why ???
There were many great games released by 2K in 2016, and it's hard to choose just one as a favorite. However, if I had to pick, I would say that my favorite 2K game from that year was probably "Civilization VI".
"Civilization VI" is a turn-based strategy game that challenges players to build and expand their civilization while competing against other players or the computer. The game's mechanics are deep and complex, with a wide range of possible strategies and playstyles. The graphics are also beautiful, with vibrant colors and detailed, animated units. Overall, I think "Civilization VI" is a great example of a well-designed strategy game, and it's definitely one of my favorites.Comment
