Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
If you're asking about my rosters, the AHL is still a work in progress, but a lot of the players are there already. If you're asking about the editor, yes, it can update every team in the save file, including the minor teams.
That might work. You probably just have to rename the USR-DATA file. Let me know how it goes if you try it.Comment

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
I just transferred it over to NHL2K8 roster- easy...Rosters look good.
Will test to see if there are any graphic or audio glitches on the 360 conversion. I did notice the blue helmet, blue gloves for the Kings on a quick play through- happens when we transfer from 360 to PS3 as well. No way around it.Last edited by TSOLEliot; 03-11-2018, 03:22 PM.I Want My $2 Dollars

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
I dont know if you can just PLACE it in the save in Horizon next to other saves for it to work or if you MUST replace on top of an existing roster save. The guy with the Red wings logo told me it's literally a question of placing the file in the save. No Bruteforce, no filename change, nothing apparently. Give it a go and check for pink helmets or blue gloves or other bizarre effects.Comment

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
In exchange for the precision of snowdrift's rosters, I'll take a few incorrect equipment colours.Comment

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
For now you're stuck editing the equipment yourself, because I don't know where the equipment colors are in the save file. But my theory is that the PS3 reads blue from the same byte that the 360 reads red from. If that's true, I might eventually be able to come up with a fix for the problem.Comment

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
So I haven't checked in here in a while. At this point, we don't know what causes the equipment colour change in the transferring of PS3 saves onto a 360 save and also the editor is also not able to save back to a 360 format though it CAN open it.
Is that still correct?Comment

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
That's what I was getting at. And 2K8 fans are used to it: players drafted in Franchise mode have purple and blue equipment, so the league eventually fills up with players in neon gear. It's amazing how many bugs were neglected in these games.
You haven't missed anything. I've been sick so my research has been on hold.Comment

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
I got 2K8 for 360 for nothing online because I figured, if your rosters work, then I'd rather have my own soundtracks for which I have a massive collection of music with the appropriate stadium reverb.
Well, get yourself healthy, obviously none of this is important by comparison.Last edited by tinpanalley; 03-20-2018, 03:53 PM.Comment

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
I see where you're coming from now, but changing the file format doesn't fix the colors. This is not a file format issue at all. The PS3 and 360 just don't save the RGB color codes the same way. The other console is reading the exact same data (correctly), but interpreting it according to different rules.Comment

Re: NHL 2K8 Editor (Snowdrift)
Also, my rosters contain more players than the original game's did, so you'll have to create more players of the missing types yourself (playmakers especially). It's not that easy: first read the help documentation under the Help menu in the editor. Just the sections "Type-Matching Issues When Importing" and "Circumventing Type-Match Issues".Comment

But can you explain what you said here? If I export why would I need to create anything? Why wouldn't it take every player you made?Comment
