lol.. i just ran out of gas. i couldn't take it no more, esp with the lil one running around etc. luckily Momma was home when i was able to knock out a huge chunk of them at first. but then, with work, the kiddo etc, just became a chore.

i need a guy like TSOLEliot to help out. heck, he can call them his rosters, i dont care lol. as long as we can get a finished playable product out of it.

cool, keep me posted on who ya do etc. for the record, dont sweat the players ages in the minors, i didnt. if a fake player was say 25 and the real guy is 23 or so, then so be it, just edit the name, country, height, weight etc. also, on teams websites, player in system section, match up birthdays bc there are a few on each team that will match up.

im getting the bug to start playing this again, just hit a brick wall bc of all the editing. made me not want to pop the game in. now with TSOLEliot on board, editing wont be so boring lol. he does a great job!!

Yeah i remember when i did a roster update when it first came out it was nearly impossible.

Scottdau, i have been thinking about it for the past few weeks but today i went into the shop, came back out, went back in and told him i needed time to think then finally said f### it.

I got Black Ops, Fifa 11, NHL 11 and i'll look at picking 2k10 up, does anyone play it on 2khockey.net? it looks pretty dead there?

probably only a few guys still play it from 2khockey.net. some of us moved onto the wii and nhl 2k11. but its just so brutal to look at sometimes.

cant wait to get a roster rolling, names first, numbers, captains, line combos, etc etc etc..

I haven't played it in a while, but I can appreciate what it does right. Fiddy, I would be willing to help with rosters if you guys want an even lighter work load. I know the feeling about being burnt out after spending a while on it. Just give the low down on what you want and what needs to be done.

awesome.

what we doing first, is naming all the fake ahl players on each team. ignoring the ages for the most part. the goal is to rename all of them on each team without using CAPS. we wanna leave them available for the user to use when downloaded. to create a team or whatever they want.

once thats done, make sure jersey numbers, captains and assistants are all correct.

then, need to rate a lot of players, guys like Skinner from Canes etc. bc lots of these fake players ratings were in the low 50's and 40's. this is what may take some time.

after that, comb through each team and try to get some line combos set up etc. obviously wont be perfect, but just something that makes sense.

then maybe go through all the goalies and make sure all the equipment is ok, no wackey colors like in years past etc.

i just about half the league done with the renaming. hopefully TSoliet can roll through most of the other teams, then i could finish them off it need be.

i'll def let ya know if we need some help.. not many of us left playing this game, but will be more fun once we get a solid roster.

I've got some good news...and some a bit of a setback...
I've got about 7 teams left....I also included a few prospects not on AHL teams yet.

I've already done most of the attributes for the rookies on the NHL squads...they're up to mid-70's ranges...obviously a work in progress.

I try to keep the prospects coming back and forth from the NHL to the AHL (the cup of coffee types) to mid 60's...

Here's my dilemma...I've got the 27 player roster freeze on the Caps AHL team...there's a way around it but I can't cut it to 23 players...I was spacing and now they have like 5 goalies in their AHL..

I kinda don't want turn back now...it hasn't freezed in franchise after a few sims but who knows? This roster mgmt system is beyong frustrating...too bad the game plays great..

Let me wrap up the remaining teams in a couple days and I'll submit it on 2Kshare with the messed up Hershey Bears....

If you can fix it, that would be awesome...Right now I'm stuck with trading with free agents to fix their roster spots...
