Try reducing the puck retention to zero. This should help with the goal scoring.

JROD.....Either you are a god in this game or something is wrong because MOST people who play the game DO NOT have a problem with the CPU scoring on HOF level. Maybe you have a defective disc or something? I played a few games with the COLORADO AVALANCHE with modified sliders on HOF and the CPU opponents did score goals and in some games lots of goals. I only had one game where the CPU scored only one goal. Once the opponent scored 9 goals in a game with 15 minute periods. In most games the CPU scored from 2 to 6 goals. I play with the defense slider adjusted all the way right and the offense and goalie slider at default. The shot accuracy slider is set at 0 and the shot blocking set all the way right. The speed burst settings and pass accuracy are set at 2. Period length is set to 15 minutes REAL TIME and the game speed is set at 3.

        Re: Problem: CPU can\'t score

I've been really messing with things and testing different slider settings but the one thing I cannot get right is how good the goalies are compared to scoring chances. I'm not talking about shots, talking about scoring chances. I'm wondering if there is a little bit of the super-goalie syndrome because i'm getting some great scoring chances but no goals. At least it's going both ways and the cpu AI is not running up the score on me.

I'm seeing a lot of 1-0 and 1-1 games and actually have not scored more than 2-3 goals in any game and usually just one goal. Playing on all-star and have tried pro as well but it seems that the goalies do play too well compared to scoring chances. This will also hamper trying to set up a better slider system because if the goals do not come why would you want a better defense/offense etc. ?

I think what's bothering me the most is that if I put slider for goalies full blast I notice no differences and if I set sliders to zero I see no differences. It's really throwing me off and can only come to the conclusion that it is indeed a super-goalie syndrome ...hope I am wrong because otherwise the rest of this game is so great. Seems like the combined goals per game for both teams is a 3 when it should be a 5.5 to 6 . I'm getting awesome chances to score....just can't beat the goalies. I big dilemma I can see happening is that it is suggested that goalie slider will either minus yours or the computer AI but not both at the same time I.E. ( detracting how well goalies play on both sides )

          Re: Problem: CPU can\'t score

I really am not having the same problems as JROD, most of my games end up with the CPU scoring between 2-5 goals, this is with the Hawks on All-Star and the Goalie AI down 2 notches offensive AI at default and Defensive AI down a notch and the hit power down a bunch of notches. I don't think I am great at this game by any means but i have had highly entertaining close games. Game speed maybe down 1 notch as well.

JRod you seem to have problems with most games being too easy for you, you may just be out of luck.
