So what's this now? 17 years without a Cup for Canada?

I'm not a Canucks fan but I was secretly hoping they would win the Cup if Pittsburgh didn't make it. Maybe the Leafs can help us out next year.

I dunno man, the Habs are going on a miracle run similar to '86 and '93. I think a Boston/Montreal Eastern Final would be a toss up to be honest.

As for the Canucks man.....Luongo and the Nuks just folded up like a cheap suitcase. i can't see them coming back against Chicago now. Hopefully Chicago goes to the finals and faces either Boston or Montreal

          Myth. Not similar.

85/86 Habs = 7th in NHL standings, had home ice for 3 out of 4 playoff series, benefited from one of the two greatest upsets in NHL history (Flames over Oilers)

92/93 Habs = 6th in NHL standings, had home ice for 3 out of 4 playoff series, benefited from one of the two greatest upsets in NHL history (Islanders over Penguins)

09/10 Habs = 19th in NHL standings, all other 15 playoff teams would've had home ice against them, pulled off one of the five or six greatest upsets in NHL history themselves

2-0 Pitt. Gonchar just rifled one from the blue line.

NHL is by far the greatest pro sport today. And that's saying something cuz I'm a southern football guy at heart.

More people in the states need to realize this.

Great to see another convert to the great game of hockey. The rest of the country needs to realize the NHL is massively better than anything the NBA can offer.
                My Teams:
                NCAA FB-Oregon Ducks
                NCAA BB-Gonzaga Bulldogs
                NBA-Portland Trail Blazers
                NFL-Carolina Panthers
                MLB-San Francisco Giants
                NHL-Los Angeles Kings
Won't change this signature until Oregon wins a national championship (started 3/10/10)

That's a bold statement. For pure hockey fanaticism in the US, regardless of the NHL, i'd say that Minnesota is the epicenter. Not Chicago or Boston.

Wouldn't know about Chicago, but Boston is a huge hockey town as is most of the north east, New Hampshire and Maine especially.

embelished and then some. Meanwhile two trips on Redwing players go unnoticed. Thanks O Halloran

I can't even complain about anything that happens re: officiating tonight. You get LOL'Halloran reffing a Red Wings game, you know what to expect and just have to deal with it.

Exactly. We know who had a big game in game 4 just by looking at who got penalized...

Sharks owned that first period...It was like a shooting gallery out there on Howard (who was solid in the opening frame).

If this tide doesn't turn immediately, it'll be over tonight.

Boston and Minnesota are the two biggest hockey hotbeds in the US, in my opinion.
