It is the truth it is hockey **** happens. I still like their chances. They have been taking it to the Avs, but or now down 2-1. If they win next game then it is 2-2 going back to the San Jose. If they lose this series then you have to break up the team and go with some of the young guys. Either way they lose two games with fluke goals, but that is hockey.

Sorry Scott, they didn't lose to fluke goals, they lost becuase they didn't have what it took to win. Any team, on any given day is fighting not only their opponent, but the refs, the field conditions, the home crowd, etc. If the come up short on the score board, they just flat out don't deserve crap.

They were fluke goals, but I agree they lost and that is that matters. But if they can win the next game it is all tied again. I think they will, they have been out playing them, just can't get the goals tonight. Last night they scored 6 goals. It happens.

Not a doubt in my mind otherwise.

Scott hit it right on the nail. San Jose has all 3 GWGs this series. No doubt in my mind San Jose will have physically crushed Colorado by the end of this series, and they will win 3 games before Colorado gets 2 more goals from the Sharks.

After playing awful down the stretch Anderson has stepped up huge thus far and is far and away the mvp for the Avs at this point. He has to get some consideration for the Vezina Trophy.

As a team, the Avalanche have made a terrible habit out of relying on him to win games though, at some point that has to stop. Excluding game 2, they haven't done anything offensively that give me much hope.

The PK, which also was terrible down the stretch was great tonight, that needs to continue.

In the end, a win is a win and they have a realistic chance of pulling off the upset, but basically they would need every bounce to continue to go their way which generally doesn't happen.
