It's funny, the Pens/Flyers rivalry has been damn hot ever since Crosby came to Pittsburgh (I was at his first game in Philly where Hatcher gave him an intro to the NHL), but with both teams really performing at elite level (Pens two Cup Finals apperances, 1 Cup, Flyers one Cup Finals appearance) now, this rivalry is only going to get hotter. Flyers win yesterday and snap all the streaks and move into the top spot in the entire league, Pens a point back. Love it!

I think you also have a little Crosby/Malkin v. Richards/Carter subset rivalry. It would not surprise me if Richards changed citizenship so he doesn't have to team up with Crosby in 3 years!

I know you're joking, but even if Richards wanted to renounce his Canadian citizenship, he'd be ineligible to play for Team USA at future Olympics or World Championships.

Man, the Sharks have to stop giving up third period leads. They won but it would have been much better to win in regulation. They just can't get up by two or three. They always keep the other team in the game. They have to close games out. Sitting on a small lead will not win many games.

Niitty is a way better goalie than Niemi so it should not even be a question of who the starter should be.

I couldn't catch the game tonight, was it competitive? I know the Wings were coming off a game last night, and I think 3 games in 4 days.
