Re: The Official 2010-11 Stanley Cup Playoffs Talk Thread
Meh he had a productive playoffs for us last year and while he didn't score a lot of goals the ones he did score were very timely.
As far as watching this years team I have the feeling of "good luck waiting for anyone to step up".
Our main weakness in the regular season was a lack of production and consistency from our bottom 6, now tonight we got production from the bottom 6 and the top 6 didn't do much of anything.Favorite Teams:
NCAA- University of Illinois Fighting Illini
NFL- Cleveland Browns
MLB- St. Louis Cardinals
NBA- Boston Celtics
NHL- Chicago Blackhawks

Oh well, didn't actually think we were going to take both games in Anaheim. Those 2 early power play goals were killers.
Big win for Vancouver. Chicago has to win 4 of 5 now, and that's going to be tough.Comment

Maybe we have different definitions of "productive." When I'm paying a guy 8 million dollars and making him one of the highest paid players in hockey, I'm expecting more than 15 points in 22 games. I'm expecting more like what Toews and Kane delivered for Chicago last postseason. I don't pay someone that type of money and then call three goals in 22 playoff games "productive." I'd expect three goals from the guys on my checking line. Hossa is what he is, a supreme talent when he's motivated and a physical force when he's not timid. Problem is he gets timid just as the weather starts to warm up. Third time was the charm for him last year, but he was little more than a hanger-on while Toews, Kane, Byfuglien and Niemi carried the Blackhawks to the Cup.Comment

The Anaheim regime continues its reign of terror.

Was he too angry to drink his Gatorade on the bench or something?
Or I guess him being ridiculously hungover is another possibility.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Oh my goodness...I'm not sure if the Wings are just flying right now, or if Phoenix is just flat-lining, but this performance by the Wings is mesemerizing through 1.5 periods. I'm not sure I've seen them play this dominantly since the Cup year of 2008. I'm stunned - it's like target practice out there right now.Comment
