3-2 in double OT,close enough.
I didn't consider the Canucks would throw one so they could win at home.
Now the Lightning have to win so Canada can have revenge.
Though a Thomas/Lunogo battle would pretty spectacular.Comment

Congrats to Doc and the 'Nucks fans.
Tough break for scotty and the Sharks supporters. Heartbreak city to lose like that.
The Canucks have been the best team all year; one more step left.Comment

Months from now, people will forget the details and wrongfully assume that this was just another chapter in Thornton's and Marleau's playoff failures, whereas the Sharks' other forwards (Heatley, Couture, Pavelski, Setoguchi, Clowe, Wellwood) were the real goats. That, and the fact that San Jose had no answer whatsoever for the Sedins.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Joe Thornton played with a seperated shoulder tonight. He has played well the last 2 seasons in the playoffs. Based on his stats, he deserves to be in the HOF by the time he retires, but I still don't think he gets in unless he wins the Cup.
Congrats to the Sharks for a good series. They are a fun team to watch with great fans.
It's amazing how powerful sports can be. I can tell you right now, if the Canucks win the Cup, I will probably have tears in my eyes. Certain fan bases are spoiled by success (Wings, Penguins, Pats, Lakers, Yankees, etc...) but the Canucks aren't one of them. For the old-timers out there, this might be the last time they get to see their favorite team play for the Stanley Cup.
This is special.Comment

That is how I felt when the Giants won last year. I passed out and cried. So I hope you guys have that. The Sharks were just the second best team. Pav, Clowe and others were fine. Lou stole the series in my opinion. The twins were dangerous on the PP for sure. the Sharks will be back next year. While the Canucks are the better team, hockey is so much about the bounces of the puck. And Canucks had more go their way. Congrats Canucks fans.Comment
