Well ****. I normally don't like rooting for the Eastern Conference in the Finals, but what must be done, must be done this year.

Congrats to the Doc and VanCity. First Finals since, well, I won't rehash those memories and let you two bask in the glory of the conference championship!

Am I the only one that finds it fitting that the Sharks' season ended with all the players lost and staring into space? I'm sure that's how they felt in the lockerroom after the game. I know a lot of fans feel that way too.

Overall I think everyone is just confused at how this team got eliminated. As a fan, I don't know the answer, and I don't think the players do either.

I honestly thought they had it all this year. That's what makes it so disappointing.

sharks, the Canucks were just a better team. They're not just on a hot playoff run, they've clearly been the best team in the West since about a quarter of the way into the season.

Seeing it again White was actually behind the net. Looks like he was right beside it in that pic...but he saw it. It was on the way when he did but he did.

Watching the video I think Marleau saw the shot all the way... He had his stick up trying to block the chip in and tracked it just as the puck landed on the ice.

            LOL, but whatever.

The most likely answer is that failing to finish off Detroit in timely fashion left the Sharks physically beaten up and emotionally spent for the first couple games, which put them behind the 8-ball. That, and San Jose's lack of blueline depth. Boyle's a great puck carrier, Murray's a rock, but the others weren't up to snuff, either on the rush or in their own zone.

They also made the fatal mistake of shooting on Luongo from the front of the net.

Was just browsing StubHub, and there were still a few dozen $40-50 tickets available for tonight's Bruins/Lightning game. Row 6, lower bowl, on the red line: $175. Sigh.

Yeah, I was gonna mention that as well...they probably should have swept the Wings, but letting it drag on, inuries pile up that never should have had a chance to happen, they roll right off game 7 into game 1 on the road against the rested 'Nucks...all a recipe for an early hole and ultimately, disaster.

Honestly before this round began, I thought the Sharks would win. I thought they just had the magic (5/5 in overtime, a four-goal comeback) to get to the Cup.

Why couldn't the Sharks take advantage when they were the best regular season team in 2009?!

I just thought the Sharks were too good to lose a seven-game series this year. Even with the fatigue, even though Vancouver dominated the regualr season, I really thought the Sharks were ready.

Call me crazy, but I thought the Sharks would be the better team in this round.

I guess when you give up three five-on-three goals in a game, it's not your time. When you give up a tying-goal with 13 seconds left and lose off a flukey goal, it's definitely not your time.

Maybe next year...again? I just want one Cup and I'll never ask this team to do anything again.

A lot of the games the Sharks dominated the play, but that is hockey. Lou was better than Niemi and that happens too. Sharks will be back again next year! Great game going on in Tampa!

And again the Bruins comeback from giving up the early goal, now up 2-1.

Still a lot of hockey, though. Not excited yet.

What a surprise that bitch *** Ference goes after the one guy on the ice that isn't a fighter (Stamkos).
