You're unlikely to get any casual sports viewers up against the NBA Finals. Especially if it's Canucks/Bolts vs Heat/Mavs. That would be a complete disaster, as the NHL wouldn't even get any casual local fans to watch. Also, don't forget CBC pushes hard for as many Saturday games as possible.

Yeah, this year's NBA Finals is going to be pretty big stuff; Dallas Maverick & Miami Heat. Maybe in past year's I would've taken my chances when it's Spurs/Cavs, but this year... nah. Especially with Vancouver in there. Which is great up North because now all of Canada will be watching and behind their Canadian team, but most people probably didn't even know Vancouver had a team or what it was called here in the US.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

BTW, Manny Malhotra has been cleared for full practices. Although the Canucks aren't saying anything, it appears there's a reasonable chance Manny will be in the lineup for Game 1.
If that happens, I'm guessing the Canucks will keep the Lapierre/Torres/Hansen 3rd line intact, while slotting Malhotra in Hodgson's spot on the 4th line, plus PK duties.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that.
