Not bull****, maybe? Just say no comment or admit it.

He makes himself look like a fool trying to pass it off as an accident, especially when he tries to pull the "That's just not me. You guys know me." act.

It makes no sense that Rutuu gets suspended for what's basically just an interference penalty on a late hit, but Torres gets nothing for a blindside shot to the head on Seabrook.

Business as usual for the NHL's rule-enforcement committee.

Vezina finalists were also announced today:

      Tim Thomas
      Pekka Rinne
      Roberto Luongo

Looks like the Predators are going to be nationally televised tonight on Versus!

So I see Vigneault is sticking with Bobby Lu for game 6. The way he's played the last couple games I'd put in Schneider but I guess he's going with the philosophy that everything hinges on his #1. I'm sure fans in Vancouver are on a ledge right now.

If the 'nucks somehow choke this series away and loses it then it's going to be one of the biggest upsets in the history of the game. It would also confirm what critics of Luongo have said for years that when the pressure is at its peak he disappears.

Gonna have to pray my Tivo, which has been on the fritz, can hold up and record the game properly. Working until an hour into the game. Gotta avoid looking at phones and bottom lines and whatnot.

Argh, if only I could be a professional sports watcher.

I think you have to start Schneider in Game 6. If the Canucks lose, then back to Luongo for Game 7. Because if Luongo starts and loses Game 6, what then? Give Schneider his first playoff start in a game that could be the worst moment in Vancouver sports history.

I'm not sure if "upset" is even the right word here. I think it would be perhaps the biggest humiliation in sports history. The 2007 Mavs losing to Golden State following the debacle of the 2006 Finals comes to mind. The only thing I can think of that would be definitely worse is if it'd been the Red Sox, not the Yankees, who were one inning away from a sweep in the 2004 ALCS before losing the series.

I'm pulling for Chicago and Boston in the other series.

Always love to see big choke jobs.

I don't think you can really call the Montreal series a choke job in the classic sense. The Habs have the talent and have played some great hockey but at some point in the game (especially last night) they lose the structure that got them to that point and play too loose. Montreal wasn't even supposed to win a game much less be put in a position to "choke".

again, the good old choke job term gets tossed around.

                  Habs, didnt choke anything away.

                  Canucks, didnt choke anything away.

both got out played the past 2 games, thats not a choke job!! cripes!!

When you are up 3-0 and are the number 1 seed that is a choke job. Unless it is my favorite teams, then it is they just got out played.

I don't think there's any way you can start Schneider in game 6. If you start him in game 6 and they lose you start Lu back for game 7? That pretty much is breaking Lu 100% mentally. We win with our best and we lose with our best.
Luongo isn't to blame for these past 2 games, the open space the hawks are getting right now is ridiculous. Just waltzing into our zone without being touched.

                          What?

The Habs I agree shouldn't really be considered a choke job. The Canucks on the other hand, if they lose the series, most definitely is a choke job. Not only that, it'd be one of the biggest of all-time.

As for Vancouver's goalie situation. I think they almost have to ride with Luongo. I think it would mess with the locker room if Schneider goes out there, plays his *** off and wins them the series. Then you have a case of the players being divided on who should be the starter the rest of the way. Even if the series goes 7, I still think you have to play Luongo, because like DrJones pointed out, it wouldn't be too smart to toss a young guy like that into the fire in the team's biggest game.

Personally I hope they pull this series out. I'm not a Canucks fan, but I'd like to see a Canadian team win a Cup for once.
