Canucks got what they deserved for playing prevent defence for the first 60 minutes. Terrible. Ah well.
On the plus side, congrats to Preds fans (those that also follow the NBA, anyway) on the ever-lovin' Grizz! Even though you guys were off tonight, you still almost won in regulation. Can't believe Suter snuck that one past Luongo. He hadn't given up a goal in something like 110 minutes, and one bounces in off of his skate. Also, it's kind of curious how the Versus announcers continuously praised Rinne but never really gave Luongo his due. They seem fixated on 3 players from each team and are lucky if they can even pronounce the names of the other guys on the ice.
Huge win for us tonight. It would have been devastating if we had lost after playing such a great game. We'd be going down in 4 or 5 games for sure. Now, it's possible that we can split in Nashville and maybe turn this into a 6 or 7 game series. I still don't see us winning the series --- we just don't have the talent to compete when Vancouver is clicking on all cylinders. And that's probably what we'll see on Tuesday.
I also noticed the Grizzlies were doing pretty good. I heard about the Spurs series from a coworker, tried watching the next night for about 5 mins... I don't know, I just can't get into NBA basketball. But I am glad that Memphis has something to cheer about.Comment

Didn't see the Versus feed, but I had to laugh at the NBC promo for the VAN/NSH Vs. game in which they wondered if the Predators could handle the "Sedin" twins (except they pronounced it Sedden, as in Wade Redden). C'mon, NBC dudes.
