Add me to the list of people pulling for a Bolts/Preds Stanley Cup.
I'm sure the TV ratings would suck, but it'd be cool to see to more Southern teams make it since Carolina is really the only other club to have success.Comment

Definitely did not expect the Lightning to start the series off like this. I could tell they were rounding into form towards the end of the first round, but completely expected the Caps to bring them back to earth.
Obviously, the next game will be HUGE. Hopefully they can come out strong at home, and cruise to the conference finals. It's been a little while for lightning fans, but man... I forgot how much fun it is to watch the playoffs when your team is rolling.Comment

This is infuriating. Six losses to this ****ing team over the past two playoffs, all by one goal, and yet it feels like they've just held us at arm's length the whole time.
Something needs to change in Detroit this offseason. They are very clearly a second class team in the West now.Comment

though all those dives were helped. I see quite of few Bruins doing the same thing.

I know. That why I said a little while... as opposed to a long while, or forever, etc. And I wasn't talking about the Stanley Cup specifically.. I was just trying to state how it was nice to see my favorite hockey team playing well after a few years in the cellar.
Exactly. Brooks Laich said this last night. 2 of the goals for TB so far have been 100% luck (deflections off Hannan and Green), but they've also done a great job of protecting their leads and taking advantage when they do get legit chances. The Caps have dominated in scoring chances but Roloson has been good. I think the Caps are due, but we'll obviously see.

Tampa? Dallas? If anything, Sun Belt teams have been over-represented during the last 10-12 years.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. I would think that what the NHL would want is Detroit and Washington to reign in the casual fans. Maybe Detroit/Philly, but every knows Ovie's face in the casual observer world and can even paint him as a villian if they want to from his Olympics "antics". Any other matchup would probably not bring up ratings, at least in this country. Hockey just doesn't matter as much, especially with MLB taking on stronger life each year.Comment

LOL right, somehow I knew you'd have a reply like this. Boston doesn't even remotely flop anywhere even close to the extreme that the Habs do on a regular basis. Hell my ex has started to call Devin Setoguchi, Diving Devon.Comment

Meh, every team has guys who embellish. You can't take it personal just because you're a fan of the team. I hate it when I see players on my favorite teams do stupid things, but it's not me, I can't control it.
That said, some teams do have more of an "identity" then others. The Leafs of the early 2000's pissed me off to no end with Tucker and McCabe (to a lesser extent Domi). And Quinn at the helm whining like a little biatch!
NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
