Yeah didn't think he would get more than that but honestly with how inconsistent the NHL is with their suspensions you never know.

Can't say I mind this, gives him 5 games to rest up 2 to get back into the flow of things and then were off to the playoffs, hopefully it locks us into the 6th spot.

      What...a....game. Wow.

Who would've thought Tim Stapleton, Ben Maxwell, and Spencer Machacek would be the best line on the ice against the Capitals? Insane effort by those guys tonight.

The only negative in all of this is Washington still got a point, so the Jets are still 4 points behind them.

Bring 'em on. It'll be a hell of a series, but if you want to come out of the East, I think it's going to go through Pittsburgh. If we get them out of the way in the 1st round, I would like our chances to go all the way.

Flyers are 3-1 against them so far, so we can play with those guys. And I think it'll be huge to get over them. They've sent us home a couple times the last few years in the playoffs..

Pittsburgh looks great now, but anything can happen play-off time. I do think that they're the team to beat though. Crosby, Malkin, and Staal are all healthy and they're better talent wise than the team that won in 2009.

Philly is our biggest threat in the East in my opinion. I'd still like to say the we edge you in 6 or 7, but I guess I'm biased, hah. As long as your goaltending situation holds up in the playoffs, it'll be a good matchup.

                        New city, same Thrashers.

They've only made the playoffs, what, once in the franchise's existence?

Better fans can't make up for a lack of talent on the roster.

We were not terrible tonight (except our PK, but what else is new)!

And yes, Don Waddell set the team back years with bad drafting and other bad moves.

Luongo plays the wrong sport, he should have chosen Basketball or Soccer with the way he dives.

That sucked, congrats to Canucks for winning the NW division.

Umm, not really. The Thrashers weren't in the playoff hunt at this point in the season, whereas the Jets are (albeit fading fast over the past week).

Lack of talent? We might not be the Bruins, Canucks, Penguins, etc, but there's a lot of talent to build around with this team. Byfuglien, Enstrom, Bogosian, Kane, Burmistrov, Pavelec, Wheeler, Little, the list goes on. With the exception of Enstrom and Byfuglien, all of those guys are 25 or younger and getting better. If we miss the playoffs this year, so be it, but I wouldn't consider it a failure. This is a fresh start under new management and the team is going to be allowed to develop naturally, which is how it should be.

And better fans have made up for any "lack of talent" there may be. Have you not seen how the Jets play at home? Have you not seen that they have 23 of their 35 wins at home? Plenty of Jets players have commented throughout the season how much better it is to be playing here than a dead hockey market like Atlanta and their play at home clearly shows that.
